Should the worst happen and the Russians invade, I suspect that many rich Russians in the UK will be part of the proposed sanctions, could this affect our foes down the road?
favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL
The TV news is all grim. But I am learning some interesting facts. I always assumed that the Molotov cocktail was so-named by the Russians in honour of their foreign minister. But in fact it was the Finns, who were fighting the Soviet invasion of 1939-40, who gave their petrol bombs that name sarcastically.
Apparently you can destroy a tank with one. And the modern addition of crumbled polystyrene makes it more stable to handle and throw, and the polystyrene burns and sticks like napalm. Addition of twenty percent motor oil makes the flame spread further and burn longer, too.
Do not try this at home.

John Bolton, former US national security adviser under Donald Trump and, previously, anti-United Nations US ambassador to...the United Nations, speculates in an interview that Vladimir Putin was waiting before invading Ukraine for Trump to win a second term in the White House and pull the US out of NATO.
John Bolton says that he, Pompeo and Esper were “appalled” at how Trump treated Ukraine, that he believes that Trump was going to pull the US out of NATO in his 2nd term, and that is what Putin was waiting for before moving forward with plans to invade Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/nlw1H0yJkW

It makes zero sense Juzzie.
We've had all this "Great Reset" stuff for ages without war once being mentioned, and now war has kicked off its suddenly shoe-horned in as "the next phase".
Its almost as if they make it all up as they go along.
This article explains the reasons for the crash/reset, and how it works, pretty well

I am sick about the situation in Ukraine and watching it unfold without any Western military intervention is shocking to be honest . Its impossible for the regular joe living in America to know what is happening behind the scenes and how close we are to a nuclear standoff . Make no mistake though the US president Joe Biden emboldened Putin after seeing his catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan and it weakened the US position around the globe. Donald Trump was many things but he was not afraid to put America first and being unpredictable was enough to give Putin and that crazy guy in North Korea something to chew on . Now its too late the war or massacre is on

Bolton was reviled in polite society for his aggressive stance against 'the enemies of the west'. Trump was reviled for questioning Europe's overwhelming failure to pay for their own defence, then pointing out how Angela Merkel preferred to trade with a country the American taxpayer was shelling out billions on for their supposed security. Sometimes medicine tastes bad.

Russian army shelling civilians during the ceasefire!!! Bunch of lying f*cking c*nts. We're just watching this f*cking demented lot level Ukraine and lie about everything. And yet we are stupid enough to think they will stop at Ukraine. How stupid are we? They lie about everything. They have declared war and we are sitting with our hands over our ears. We have learnt nothing from the Nazi invasion of Europe. I have friends in Ukraine and Russia. Normal people in both countries are terrified by the Kremlin and Putin. The regular populations don't want this at all. However, we are faced with a f*cking lunatic and his mad henchmen doing what the f*ck they like and worrying that we don't want WW3. Wake up, it's happening. Look at China's reaction. They are behind Russia on the march into Europe.
With all due respect, this type of hysteria helps no one, least of all the people of Ukraine. The lies are prevalent everywhere, it's just the Russians are a bit more blatant about it. As Elon Musk correctly tweeted recently - "All news sources are partially propaganda, some more than others." As for your comments about Nazis invading Europe - pretty sure my GCSE history lessons taught me that it started in the heart of Europe, rather than invading it? Putin might be mad but even he knows he can't touch a NATO country like Poland or the Baltic States for example - it's then immediate and assured mutual destruction for all of us. I thought this guy's comments on Question Time the other day were spot on:
***EDIT - not sure why the video won't load, but you can search 'Konstantin Kisin on BBC Question Time' and it'll come up in YouTube.

The Republican ‘America First’ position was a green light for Trump’s fellow far right autocrats and nutjobs to invade and do whatever they like with no recourse from the US. Trump openly worships Putin and Kim Jung-un. Just last week he called Putin a “genius”. Russia attacked Western democracy by cyber war, the US elections in particular, and was instrumental in Trump reaching the White House. However despite overwhelming evidence from the FBI, US military and other US security services Trump did nothing and instead took Putin’s word “that he didn’t do it” over theirs. Trump undermined NATO at every opportunity and many Republicans believe it was his intention to weaken and then withdraw the US from it. Ukraine have officially been at war with Russia since 2014 but Trump threatened to withhold military aid unless President Zelensky dug up dirt on Joe Biden’s son, for which Trump was impeached. Obviously nobody else is to blame for the invasion of Ukraine except Putin but Trump’s actions have arguably emboldened his actions more than anyone else in the West.

You do realise Russiagate is now officially proved to not only be wrong but also most likely a covert smear campaign by the Clinton's in their bid to get Hillary into office? Even the Democrats are beginning to see this:
"The former chief investigator of the Trump-Russia probe for the House Intelligence Committee, Kash Patel, said Friday's filing 'definitively showed the Hillary Clinton campaign directly funded and ordered its lawyers at Perkins Coie to orchestrate a criminal enterprise to fabricate a connection between President Trump and Russia,' Fox News reported.
'Per Durham, this arrangement was put in motion in July of 2016, meaning the Hillary Clinton campaign and her lawyers masterminded the most intricate and coordinated conspiracy against Trump when he was both a candidate and later president of the United States while simultaneously perpetuating the bogus Steele Dossier hoax,' Patel told Fox. "

Are we surprised. Not really. A manafactured football club have thier sugar daddy taking away from them. They know what's coming. It's a bit sad when you're football fans (which has relied on a pal of Putin's regime ) put the success of your club before the applause of Ukraine's effort to repel a lunatics attempt to violently take over a sovereign country. Take a bow lads . You must be proud of yourselfs.

The world saw how weak the US is in every sense when Trump pulled American troops out of Syria in 2019 and abandoned the Kurds who had helped fight ISIS.
That was "putting America first" in practice.

Just because one side is full of shit doesn't mean the other side isn't.
The russiagate stuff does appear to have been a hoax, one the press isn't keen to highlight after all the awards they gave to themselves.
Mueller and the fbi couldn't find any confirmation, but russian analyst danchenko, who supplied a lot of the stuff for the steele report, has since been arrested for lying to cover up that there was no basis for the allegations.
Democrats and Republicans don't look so different tbh, see how Biden has already backtracked on his minimum wage proposals given in his state of the union address.

I suppose the BBC are part of this cabal you mention too then for having the temerity to run this story? Does that mean everything they say can't be trusted and is also complete nonsense:
I suspect this story will gain more traction in the future, especially if the Republicans return to the White House in 2024. Understandingly it's now sidelined because of the Ukraine crisis much like all other news, for example Covid which seems to have been forgotten about completely.

The BBC Board consists of 14 members, with a majority of non-executive directors. The Chairman and four non-executive members are appointed by Order in Council on the recommendation of Ministers, to represent each of the nations of the UK. The ministers in question are the current government, you know, the ones that often misspeak. The BBC, as it stands, is a mouthpiece for the government.
The grass is always greener.

Whether anyone likes it or not the Russian oligarchs have been a great asset to the UK over the last 25 years or so, investing and spending billions. They can and will just take their money elsewhere and we will all be poorer for it.Political posturing does'nt pay the bills. We are not at war with Russia so their citizens property and investments here should be protected. This is a very dangerous precedent indeed.
