I may be being naïve on this, but how the faaking hell can a 'proposed transfer' get to the point that 'it could have been sealed Wednesday' (tomorrow) if the selling club hasn't accepted an offer?

His fitness history?
Hell, Ash could break his leg in half and he'd probably rub some dirt on it and tell the physio to #### off. The "2016 European Championship bollocks" was only more evidence of that, when nobody thought he could possibly be fit against Belgium.
Dude isn't your average 32 year old. He'll break down someday, but I'm betting it's a few years later than your typical professional football player. Here's hoping that he's still wearing a white shirt when it finally happens. |  |
