Truly terrible batting performance. To muster only 300 runs in two innings on that pitch against what is when all said and done an average bowling attack is not on. I still think we'll win the series but they need to remember how to bat again.

Imagine saying that on a rugby or soccer pitch? You'd be banned, fined and charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Childish and as much as the Aussies are bad losers they are bad winners and show no class.

England have a fairly well established recent history of coming from behind to win Test series, especially abroad. Fingers crossed we can do it again. I still can't get over the fact that they were so inept with the bat not once but twice. They made Johnson look as deadly as Lillee and Thomson combined. He's not. He's average and can be excellent on occasion when he gets the bit between his teeth and remembers how to bowl straight. | |

Cheers ECB, you know my attitude, if you play badly you can't hide behind excuses. But for a winning captain to say something like that is disgraceful. His press conferences are excruciating as well. A little shit he his, I thought he was better than that.
