Boycott is the cricket version of Scouse, would rather his team lose so that he can slag them off and shout "See, I was right" after the fact. Anyhoo, gutless batting shambles today. Annoying.

To muster only 300 runs in two innings on that pitch against what is when all said and done an average bowling attack is not on. I still think we'll win the series but they need to remember how to bat again.

Anyway, got our backsides well and truly kicked, onwards and upwards, this is a Test Series let us not forget. (must admit to feeling terribly grateful that I'm not out there, mind)

Imagine saying that on a rugby or soccer pitch? You'd be banned, fined and charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Childish and as much as the Aussies are bad losers they are bad winners and show no class. I hope this is the wake up call the batsmen need. Long way to go.

The Aussies have been bad winners for decades, it goes back to Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh's time in charge. No class in victory or defeat and Shane Warne's ramblings in the media personify that.

Can't get any worse! | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

England have a fairly well established recent history of coming from behind to win Test series, especially abroad. Fingers crossed we can do it again. I still can't get over the fact that they were so inept with the bat not once but twice. They made Johnson look as deadly as Lillee and Thomson combined. He's not. He's average and can be excellent on occasion when he gets the bit between his teeth and remembers how to bowl straight.

Aye,they'll need Johnson playing to his max for all 5 tests.I think they'll win in Adelaide now they know the Aussies are well up for it.Player for player England are the better side, that was proved in the summer.I still feel they've been caught cold but will recover like you say.

Cheers ECB, you know my attitude, if you play badly you can't hide behind excuses. But for a winning captain to say something like that is disgraceful. His press conferences are excruciating as well. A little shit he his, I thought he was better than that. Go to a pub and tell a punter, bar staff or bouncer to get ready for a broken arm and see what happens. Sorry wound up. Bloody sport.....
