Matthew Phillips introduces us to the man in the middle for the Coventry game

Steve Tanner from Somerset is the referee for the Boxing Day clash, he became a Football league ref in 2003 and a Premiership ref in 2007, this season he averages just under 3 yellow Cards a game.

In the 9 Swansea games that Steve Tanner has refereed in he has produced 4 red cards, 3 for the opposing team. The last game he took charge of was at Carlisle in April this year, he booked 6 players, disallowed a goal for us and allowed Carlisle to get away with bad tackles.
