Yeah I had problems with those two decisions.
Other than that Remy's should've probably been a free on the edge and he got Nedum's desperate lunge correct, so fair enough in my book.

Yep, definitely not the worst ref we've seen. Glad he got the Sinclair tumble right at least. The Derry (the) Silva (fox) incident was a weird one, but Silva should have been booked for retaliation at least. Still, not many complaints here. |  |

The main thing I noted about that was if Silva had kicked a lot of other 'Prem' players like that they'd have kicked their heels up like a galloping fawn and gone straight into an agonized tumble.
Derry's expression was more like "Oops I nearly damaged a very expensive player there"

Granero got booked for tugging Silva's shirt, although he tried to let the play continue until Granero got a good tackle into clear. Then he booked him. It could have been just for the tug but it was also cumulative, after 3 previous fouls.
The only thing he missed all night was Silva's sly little kick at Derry.
Considering how unfit he is and that he only gets to see the incidents once, at full speed, he had an excellent game. |  |

I must have been watching a different game to you lot.
I thought he missed plenty of niggly fouls on our player and should have awarded us a penalty when their player clipped Remy on the line of the 18 yard box.
I have no issues with the yellows or the Silve incident which was nothing but he seemed to give them the borderline decisions whilst refusing us. | | | |

You've got hoop tinted glasses on. Remy dived and Dowds overall performance was v good. With 22 players trying to cheat them all the time and add the fact the pace of the game is so intense- if you are going to criticise refs for those kind of performances, you'll never be happy. | | | |

I sit in R-block dead in line with 18 yard box and,when Remy cut inside the two defenders one of them clipped hes right foot right on the edge of the box.

I counted two occasions the ball was hoofed out and hit the top of Ellerslie Road and ball came back into play and both the fat short officials played on.
Even Onuoha bought the ball down and put towards where the ball went out by Hart and Fat Dowd gave a throw to them. | | | |

The Remy one was a def pen from the loft upper but Dowd passed on that responsability to the Lino as I saw them looking at one another. From the linos angled that had to be a pen
The Sinclair one looked a pen to me as we'll but quite far away
However. Dowds complete ineptitude was summed up by Clint Hill striding 40 yards to point out the City wall was only 7 yards back. The fact he paid attention to that AFTER telling us to take the kick counts massively against him as he clearly was not managing the game
His yellow cards were atrocious and he was chuffing badly
