The assault victim will need to make an official complaint before the Police make any arrests. If the rumours about the reasons for the incident are true, then there may be a reluctance to 'wash dirty linen in public' and that may be the end of it. What concerns me about this incident isn't that it happened at a football ground, or involved two professional footballers, but that no-one seems concerned (if the basic facts are true) about what's happening with the woman involved
If someone is wound up enough to attack a bloke for having sex with his missus/partner/gf, wouldn't he be equally wound up enough to be attacking her too?
I'm not particularly interested in the prurient details of what happened or why, just that no-one seems to have mentioned the woman, and there's always more than meets the eye in terms of history between those involved |  |
