I am going to write to the club to ask for the remaining home games of this season to be played at a neutral venue somewhere in the north west, especially the FA Cup 5th round game, because the pitch looks an absolute disgrace, it is the worst pitch I have ever seen, which won't look good live on BBC One, so it wouldn't be a bad idea if no more games were played on it until next season to give it time to recover as I have never seen a pitch as bad as that in many a year.

I actually didn't think it played half as badly as it looked. Was pleasantly surprised.

Best it's played for weeks tonight

I have seen many worse pitches at Spotland than that one tonight. Considering all the pre-match hoo-ha, it wasn't as bad as many expected.

If you thought that was worse than any other, you can't have been to Spotland in the 1970's 1980's and 1990's

Yeovil and you don't mix well R17Ale. I remember the kiosk/coffee incident like it was yesterday.

If Peter Kay had that incident as a sketch he'd be labelled a lead yokelist

Poll: What is it to be then?

I know! There's something quite irritating with carrot crunchers when they've run out of carrots, and turn their attentions to football!

Because each of those decades saw games played at Spotland on pitches much worse than that tonight.

Put all your efforts into attracting a girlfriend or life partner rather than writing letters on our behalf. Thanks for your concern though buddy.

How did your letter to Colchester work out?
Won't Play At Home During Feb by Wills 10 Feb 2014 20:11
Now that 2 home games in a row have been postponed due to bad weather, I am working on the principle that Colchester won't play at home at all during Feb and if they do it's a bonus the way things are going.

Maybe just stay off the cider in future?

There was a young prince called Wills
Who married a lass for the thrills
When he got bored with Kate
He turned to probate
And writing to clubs with no bills

It did get a bit rough towards the end, but i've seen prettier looking pitches play far, far worse than that. How it stands up to water concerns me though.

BTW. OP: Superb. Really funny.
