£2.5m (+ £1m adds). QPR due 20% of profit on future sale. Shamrock Rovers get ~£600k from previous 25% sell-on for 21yo Ireland striker.
Meaning 20% of anything over £2.5m?
I would imagine 20% of anything over £2.5m & any add on's that we've received. If all of the £1m has been paid to us it would be the profit over £3.5m (at least, that would be my reading of it).
If the transfer happens, whether anyone ever finds out the actual fee received would be questionable.

The point to note here is that Celar is, on paper, a better prospect than anyone we've been in the market for for ages.
It's perfectly understandable to have been sceptical that he'd sign for us; the fact that he has, is encouraging for the club's powers of persuasion.
The only reasons to be cautious are that Washington and Dykes were both fairly regular goal scorers at international level which didn't/have't trusted to goals at Championship level. Let's hope he's not another out of the same box.

I think we need to cut this guy some slack to get used to this league. Then, hopefully he'll be flying.
What's going on at Birmingham? Breaking the League One transfer record 3 times this summer now they've had a bid of £5.5 million accepted for Jay Stansfield after already spending £12 million so far this summer. Are there different financial rules in League One?

The rules are different in L1 but my understanding is that teams promoted to the championship will be treated as if they were in the championship for the 3 year ffp period. If that’s the case, brum could be setting themselves up to fail ffp if they come up.

Yes, the owners can spend if they personally guarantee the money, the problem is that when you come back to the Championship you’re under Championship FFP so you need to pass through the division quickly.

Particularly as they lost a combined £50m in 2021/22 and 2022/23
