Is anyone now thinking more about their travel plans .... 22:00 - Jun 28 with 21460 views | ScoobyWho | After the recent terrorist activity ? For the first time ever I am now giving it some thought, especially now as we are travelling more for work etc. My other thoughts, which a quite scary are that these fcktards will target anyone anywhere. I mean, shooting people on sunbeds on their holidays is a new low. Would they target sporting events in the UK as an example ? Fcking frightening world we live in these days. At least 30 UK nationals killed on their holidays. I'm finding this hard to get in to perspective. [Post edited 28 Jun 2015 22:03]

Is anyone now thinking more about their travel plans .... on 15:50 - Feb 23 by londonlisa2001 | A really really brilliant place to go in early summer is Sicily, Flashberry. Warms up earlier than a lot of Europe, loads of villas to rent, good beaches and really really good sightseeing as well - Mount Etna and the countryside but also lovely little towns and villages and Palermo is beautiful. Won't be as hot as Cape Verde islands of course, but depends what type of holiday you're after - just relaxing or lots of things to see as well. Food and wine in Sicily is lovely by the way, and good value too. A nice little villa, car and it's a wonderful holiday and lots of cheap flights in. [Post edited 23 Feb 2016 16:02]

Circumstances dictate that we've got to go in May, so that narrows the choice down a little, especially when you want guaranteed sunshine, we were originally going to Sharm, but that's been knocked on the head until at least 25th May. So she's looking at places such as Mexico and Cape Verde.

Everyone I know who's been to either has loved it. . Cape Verde is apparently quite quiet and not much goes on but very nice. What about Dubai? All sorts of hotels from big resort type places to small places in quiet bits, hot and dry all year and supposed to be fantastic for a relax in the sun. I know loads of people that have been now (only a 7 hour flight) and apparently it's very good. Haven't been myself.
Is anyone now thinking more about their travel plans .... on 20:58 - Feb 23 with 1661 views | exiledclaseboy | We're off to Venice next month and Gran Canaria in July. Gran Canaria is the furthest I'll ever have been from the UK. The wife's flat out refused to fly for 20 years until last summer so we're building up the flight times so hopefully we can do some of the more of long haul ones in years to come.

That's brilliant if she's conquered her phobia. Very common for people to be terrified. My father-in-law just refuses point blank to get on a plane and there's no persuading him. Apparently, British Airways run an amazing day for people who are scared where they talk them through everything, all the noises and stuff, and end up taking off and landing etc.

Not picking holes Lisa but it isn't particularly hot (island of Boa Vista at least). That said, the greatest factor is the lack of pollution which means that you get MOST of the UV rays and you can burn very easily.

That's correct, it's called Flying With Confidence and involves a day of theory with an active pilot and a psychologist, followed by a tea time flight aboard one of the short haul aircraft. For those compelled to pay it prices are around £300 per person.

For 300 quid you could just get pissed enough to pass out in the departure lounge and have someone wheel you on and off the plane until you wake up the other side.

I have always thought that my business plan ' shagging with confidence ' would ' take off ' Basically it's an all gender day of 'mile high' confidence building for everyone ( including ugly and fat people ) by the end of the day the guarantee is that you will at least perform a mid body nibble on a person ( as long as they can fit in the cubicle of your standard Boeing ) Mine only costs £12. £8.75 of which is refundable on completion of the day.
