For the first time ever I am now giving it some thought, especially now as we are travelling more for work etc. My other thoughts, which a quite scary are that these fcktards will target anyone anywhere. I mean, shooting people on sunbeds on their holidays is a new low.
Would they target sporting events in the UK as an example ?
Fcking frightening world we live in these days. At least 30 UK nationals killed on their holidays. I'm finding this hard to get in to perspective.
The only thing i am surprised about, is that they haven't targeted a sporting event, even at a lower level event such as a championship or league 1 game, imagine the damage that could be done there, let alone at a massive ground such as Old Trafford or Emirates.
Terrible times we live in.
I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Incredible intelligence and secret service we have. Believe me the threat is real and daily and we have some amazing people working on our behalf.

I couldn't believe that people were actually on sunbeds today at the hotel this all happened at, supping beers and sunbathing. Only a few but Unbelievable.

It might seem distasteful but fair play to them. Terrorism does what it says on the tin - there is a fair chance that Tunisia will be brought to it's knees as a nation economically out of pure fear and terror. I hope it's not.

Not doing so is playing right into the terrorist's hands...

But Surely that hotel should have been closed as a mark of respect, I certainly couldn't have carried on enjoying myself after my fellow holidaymakers had been cut down like that
You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

I'm thinking more about siting in an area lapping up the sun where a whole load of people were gunned down a few days before. Agree with your sentiments TBH. But this place surely deserves some form of reverence and respect for a while. How can people sit there and enjoy the sun with death so close and so recent. Unbelievable.

The Tunisian people who protested against the massacre whilst carrying British flags certainly deserve better.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
It's certainly a tragedy all round, and I know these cowardly ars*holes could strike anywhere at any time, but to answer the OPs original point, anywhere in North Africa or the Middle East have been no no's for me for a couple of years. I'm amazed anyone in their right minds still goes there.

Spot on - how anyone can go there now especially with children is beyond me and this isn't cowardice- it's impossible to defend yourself in these circumstances. These people are barbaric and would kill you - your wife - your children. Time has come to deal with these people once and for all.
Will devastate tourism there...same thing happened in Egypt a while back...tourists there on sightseeing trips still have to be escorted with heavily armed security.
Costs the government and the people millions each year.

The problem is you can't deal with these people. You can bomb them and kill them and occupy their lands, but it just creates more anger and resentment and more people will swing to their cause. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of this Isis rabble are relatives or friends of the people killed in previous bombing campaigns.
Don't know the figures but say if 100000 Iraqis were killed by American forces in the last war then that's 100000 families that have a reason to hate the Americans.
I was in college with an Irish guy who hated the queen and the British army because his grandfather was executed in the twenties. I mean really hated them and had all sorts of ira stuff. The resentment just grows and lingers.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

My view is as a race, we're all on a road to hell anyway...just about always have been....there's no stopping human nature.
Life is random, just accept the wisdom of insecurity....don't do silly stuff like go to somalia or syria on your hols, but otherwise life your life without fear. To quote some tv series I don't recall...people die, it's what they do. More chance of you getting the big C than getting shot on a beach, shocking as f**k as that was.

Mr Sensible speaks.
Live your lives and carry on. The human race is fckd and it is only a matter of time before we ahihilate ourselves off the planet....probably within the next 100 years If the aliens are watching us I bet they would be pissing themselves laughing over religion, hate and wars everywhere.
The whole world is now on extreme terror threat with security ramped up everywhere.....
Potentially dark troubled times ahead.....

There used to be a saying along the lines of ' put em all on an island and leave em there' I'm now seriously considering leaving home and finding that island.
Was considering staying in Hurgada on the west coast of the Red Sea this Xmas New Years because of the price in Sharm el sheikh. Decided in the current climate it's too close to Luxor for our liking and will look at the canaries in February instead.

Terrorists could strike at holidaymakers in Spain, Greece or even Porthcawl, in fact they could strike anywhere in the world. Especially in resorts that are deemed to be safe for foreign visitors, which would make them easy targets for the murdering b*stards. So at the moment Tunisia would probably be safer than most of the aforementioned countries to visit.

I would nt recommend going to Hugarda purely because it is a shtthole,go outside of your resort and it is one giant building site. Stick to Sharm. Much better choice although Canaries are still warm at Xmas.

Absolutely, Hurgarda isn't as good as Blackpool in winter. Sh it hole.
