Tremendous performance and they deserved to get something out of it. Shame that it relied on Bolton's failure.

As for next season, I cannot see how they can build a team to accommodate Barton. There is no point having a key player who jeopardises the team in a game, followed by the resulting 3 game bans. A midfield of Traore, Faurlin, Derry and Diakite has to be better. Barton to see out his contract on loan?

Thanks Clive and the LFW team for all your work. It really keeps me in touch for the the games I cannot be at!

What a game, I guess the result was what we anticipated congratulations to those who represented QPR with such a big effort . Clint Hill and Jamie Mackie my joint MOM but really with one disappointing exception i think they all did us proud.
My nerves need a summer break but looking forward to next season already.
City deserved their title and we deserved to stay up, justice all round.

Brilliant atmosphere. Nail biting entertainment. Drama to the last. And we survive on the back of a result elsewhere. Who wrote the script?
Congratulations to city. The best side won the league. Many shook our hands on the way out. Not sure if that would have happened if the whistle had gone at 2-2.
1 sour note was Barton. Sure, Tevez started it, but no excuse for the reaction.4 game ban for 2nd red card of the season. Another ban for the assault on Ager and another for nutting Kompany. He could and should miss half the season. Can qpr dismiss him for gross misconduct?

Mackie has to be Player of the season for me. Through thick and thin (and there's been a lot of thin!) he's been up for it. Much as I'm not a JB fan, he has been sent off no more than Cisse, and both times with massive provocation and outrageous over-reaction on the part of Tevez. As for the kick after - well if you're going to be sent off for nothing, might as well make it worthwhile. Can't believe I defended JB - what a weird weekend. Total congratulations to all the team is in order though.

QPR owner Tony Fernandes stated after the end of the final game of the season that he believed his team "played like lions" against Man City. Well a much earlier generation of soldiers were believed to be lions led by donkeys, a phrase popularly used to describe the British infantry of World War 1 and a phrase used to condemn the generals who commanded them.

So no prizes for guessing who our donkey was, during a complete moment of madness! He is a very lucky guy; his 5 minutes of indiscipline, potentially coupled with an away win for Bolton and things could have got very ugly outside of the players entrance from those of us who had paid out our hard earned cash to support the team, then seeing it all go down the pan. Not that I would condone any repeat of the unfortunate events at Euston station following the defeat at Bolton. So JB appears to be is upset with some of the views of the presenters on MOTD, maybe it’s best he did not hear some of the comments made on the terraces as we watched him leave the pitch, thinking that it was the final nail in the coffin for the end of the Premiership for the R’s. The only thing I have not heard from our captain, is that he thinks he can walk on water! In any other job he would be out on your ear for gross misconduct.

But what a game and expreriencing a very strange set of emotions during and after the game, what a cool finish from Cisse, witnessing a tremendous backs-to-wall display following Mackie’s goal, hearing the half-time score from the Britannia stadium, a feeling of disappointment that we could not hold for a great away win, hoping Ashley Young would not collect a Premiership winners medal, and at the final whistle just relieved that both sets of supporters got the end result they needed.

At the start of the year when studying the final games of the season, things looked dire, but after the recent run of home wins it was great to be in a position where our team could influence our own survival on the last game of the season. Well done the 10 + subs, a tremendous effort.

Can only hope that during the next three months; prior to the start of next season Mark Hughes will have much more time, than was given to NW, to be able to bring in players who will strengthen the team and take us on the next step of the journey. Give me mid table security as a minimum. I don’t think that the old ticker could take much more; then again, it wouldn’t be QPR would it!

A big thanks to you Clive, for maintaining your spirits during this tough season and providing us with many great match reports, detailing the highs, and too many lows throughout. I assume you may have to buy another new fag packet to write your reports for next season, as the existing one must be looking a little worse for wear. Keep up the good work.

Could have been worse. Thought Dale played well against a team tipped to finish in top 3, very difficult side to breakdown. Think they double up as a basketball team (How many were under 6' ??)
Couple of points.
1- Stop Lillis from taking suicidal short goal kicks. The law of averages dictates that we will concede at least half a dozen needless goals from putting our own defence under pressure like that.
2- Stop Kennedy and co from taking stupid short corners and get that ball into the danger zone ASAP.
3- Would like to see Donnelly start up front in the middle and see what he can do from there
4 - Give Putterill a start ???

Shell shocked to say the least. Can't believe I've had to bookmark our relegation odds on my PC already. Will however be putting a couple of bob on Swansea to go down at 14/5. Our defence was a train crash after Rob Green gifted the lead to the visitors and despite us dominating the first half-hour, the Swans could have gone further ahead. Overall a shocking performance and Paddy Kenny kept a clean sheet in the Championship today as well. Nothing new there then. However we'll keep the faith and trust that Mark Hughe's new broom will pay dividends in the long run and QPR won't repeat the struggles of last season.

No need to panic. Performance not as bad as result - although last 30 minutes were pretty awful after the game was already lost. Thought Park and Diakite were great in 1st half winning the ball back every time. This gave Taraabt plenty of freedom - Hoilett also looked good. I know that Cisse is always liable to score but otherwise he is just not involved in the game. I am not sure that he can play the lone striker effectively.
Typical football - look forward to a game for 3 months and totally deflated after 90 minutes!!

I think I must have been watching a different match to the others who have voted on here. With the exception of Tutte and JK we have a team of players bereft of the basic skills of football - cannot pass the ball, can't take a corner, can't cross. Why has Dunphy let the club sink so low - what happened to the " warchest" he promised.Who is going to score the goals?
Donnelly is not a striker and Cavanagh is a pale imitation of Jonah.I will no doubt attract the usual comments that I am negative - just as I did when I objected to the appointment of Steve Eyre last year and we all know what happened after that ....

All sorts of questions raised by this result. Midfield was generally a treat to watch but that's about all. No finishing, no defensive organization, and the makings of a goalkeeper controversy. That's an ugly trio. It's a long season and one can only hope that this is a wake-up. So much for the ideal summer run-up.
