I don’t think they will.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

He's arrogant. I'm not a fan but he really puts the right wing establishment to the sword. Not many people do that.

He's a good journalist/interviewer though.

For me an Owen Jones apologist, as equal and as bad as anyone in the political arena.

They could be down in wales by as much as 8%. They have done very well in Scotland though. What a bizarre election that a party can be down on votes but win hundreds of extra seats.

Think the argument for some sort of PR will dominate the opening months of this parliament?

Think the demise started with May, then Johnson then made even worse by Truss .
Sunak had no chance and wasn’t helped by lack of guts and guile

The Reform candidate who looks like he’ll win in north Barnsley was dropped by the party for being racist but still appeared on the ballot as it was too late to remove him.

Reform said if elected he’d be an independent.

Not sure whether he’d count in the 13 seats predicted or not 🤷🏻

It's a good result for reform, no question.

But they'll now come under far more, and necessary, scrutiny.

Let's see how they fare over the next few years in parliament. There may end up being a few more like him.

John curtace on the telly box confirming that although it will be a landslide for Labour in terms of seats it definitely isn’t a landslide in terms of votes. The reform estimate of 13 seats is likely to be inaccurate, they could win a lot more seats or could win none as there’s a lot of seats they have a chance of winning but seem to be second place in a lot of them.

What with Reform looking to make serious inroads ,given Farage is called a racist” ,it follows a sizeable number of people are such.
Farage helped to engineer Brexit by playing on the fear people gave of “foreigners” .
This is the result .

Reform U.K will from here on in have a seismic impact upon British politics and traditional voter loyalty, because the party is extremely popular (and growing) amongst the working class.

The pathfinders have paved the way and are now in an extremely advantageous position so expect the brigade to arrive at a latter date! And the current Sit-Rep is humdinger stuff!

The spite, insults and smearing has continued, which is fantastic for Reform UK also, because it motivates people to turn up and vote for the party in even greater numbers.

And it’s why “working class” areas voted to leave EU ,which was facilitated by Conservatives of all people.
Certain irony there

30% of the vote in a Labour safe seat in Sunderland. I predicted earlier on they’ll get more votes than the conservatives but not many seats, there’s still a chance I was right.

So a privately educated, ex banker, millionaire who banks with coutts isn't one of Britain's elites?

"referendum on the corrupt political establishment. "

"join the people’s revolt"

"Why else would snobby voices like the Financial Times and the Economist endorse Starmer’s Labour?"

"even more immigration and betray Brexit by taking the knee to the EU"

"Do you want a leader who is unashamedly patriotic, proud of Britain’s past and optimistic about our future? "

Steve Bannon's briefings to European (hard)conservatives obviously worked... but remember he's just gone to jail.

When I call out an idiot it doesn’t bother me who or what they represent.

Never been one for taking sides, just like the pain it causes. As for your bottom fantasy, people of all ages read this site, causing pain to your ‘Americanism for arse’ is hardly a topic for this forum.

And I can assure you where you are going with your post is a land you really don’t want to visit.

It’s O’Brien btw.

Labour votes in Wales 487,636 last election 632,035 votes. Reform votes in Wales 223,018. Winning an election is all about winning seats, but this should be a stark warning to the Senned.

I saw something about the recent French results online which rings true here.

The current political establishment will work to prevent Reform/NR from gaining any power. They won't stop to ask themselves why so many people are now voting for them. They'll just carry on with the "Racist Gammon etc" nonsense that they've been spouting since 2016, and keep wondering why support for the extremists is rising.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Whilst there’s no doubt the rise of Reform is a big story it’s one of a few that are important

The Lib Dem result is outstanding.
There are a few Labour big beasts that scraped home, mainly due to a massive fall in Muslim numbers due to their stance on Gaza.
The demise of the SNP

An excellent night for the Greens and Plaid too.

The next few years are going to be interesting. Not least because Labour cannot get anywhere near repairing the damage the Tories have overseen in that time and will be criticized for it.

What direction will the Tories go in under a new leader?

It’ll very much depend on who they appoint as new leader.

I hope they steer away from a divisive choice.
