codge added 11:39 - Dec 29 Very disappointed with the outcome of this game after the first 20 minutes, why does Forster always stay on his line and rarely comes out for a cross, he is like a statue sometimes so frustrating. To many give aways and JWP is so frustrating another mindless game from him. PezzaSaint added 11:52 - Dec 29 Unfortunately, I had a feeling that this type of result wasn't far away! As I have said before I think against the 'big' teams we carry to many players. Last night, it was again Nathan Redmond, he who had a few chances in the first half to go past players, but bottled it. Soufiane Boufal for all of his wonderful ball skills (and his footwork is mesmerising at times) is a liability defensively. JWP doesn't do enough and is knocked off the ball to easily. The shortcoming of these players (there are others who didn't shape up last night also) get exposed against the big, strong teams and Spurs last night were a big strong team. Boufal must be played centrally if we are to see his best, he is somewhat wasted in a wider midfield position in my view. Lets just hope it was a bad day at the office? By the end Romeu's extra portion of Christmas Pud was beginning to take its toll!!! pete_boggs added 12:40 - Dec 29 codge added 17:38 - Dec 31 What the Frick has happened to our team, seems like we've lost the plot, lack of urgency in to many players.VVD looked like he didn't want to be there today and has his mind elsewhere. Team selection is mind boggling at times and never seems like a settled team, getting a little worried now.l think we need to buy for sure in January, sorry for so much doom and gloom, forever a Saints fan Coyr.
