Hey folks, lets have a maximum income limit!

Yeah, great idea that one.

Tommy do you ever respond to any points made, or do you just spout your soundbites - just so that I know not to bother in future that's all. Several times now you've just ignored posts and pretended they didn't exist because you've been challenged regarding your daily mirror assumptions on things.

Jeremy means well, just come out all wrong. There will be a revolution soon if the gap betwern rich and poor keeps growing. The company I work for are only employing new staff on 8 hour flexi contract, while the CEO is having seven figure shares bonus.

Except the income inequality is at it's lowest in 30 years.

So about that gap "keeps growing" argument...

How much blue

how much ??

You tell us, tommy, you're the expert.

Since you want to throw the view out people should only get what they need, let's critically evaluate that view.

People don't need to drink.
People don't need to smoke.
People don't need expensive trainers.
People don't need video games.
People don't need pay for TV services like Sky.
People don't need foreign holidays.

So you're advocating wages should cover only the basics, right? Or am I misunderstanding your view as having zero rational basis?

Thats not a problem to the C'nts out there it doesnt matter.

Ah, so people pointing out that income inequality is at it's lowest in 30 years - which includes Labour governments - which makes the argument farcical are "c'nts".

Sadly for the Corbynistas, the overwhelming majority of people recognise the real world, not Corbyn's idealised fantasy from his Islington home...

If you raise the tax rate too high Trampie your tax take reduces. It has been proven time and time again.

If you raise the tax rate knowing that your tax take will reduce, then you are doing so not for the good of the country, public services etc, you are doing so as a symbol, to punish if you like. That's simply petulant, spiteful politics, and people will not vote for it unless they feel similarly inclined to punish.

The UK's top rate of income tax is nowhere near revenue maximizing point.

You don't get much change at the end of the month if your single working full time on minimum wage after paying bills with a roof over your head.

Even when you know, you never know?

Minimum wage under this evil Gov is going up to £9 an hr soon, what should it be 15...20 quid, what's fair?

At what point do you start choking off the job market, I would suggest we're pushing it at present.

Yet socialists want to borrow more, never understood this.

If you don't want to rely on international bond markets, live within your means.

We should never bail out failure, when we bailed out the banks we created a moral hazard and we've been suffering ever since.

To have decent standard of living and not working to survive the min wage should be at least doubled.

Double min wage, you then have to increase other wages accordingly. Far more disposable income, prices go up as a consequence.

Means the same situation prevails. So you end up in a cycle.

Income tax in recent decades used to be far higher in this country, but the Blue and Red Tories both look after the rich and decrease income tax and raise VAT which is a tax on the poor.

Income tax was far, far higher in France under Hollande. That worked well...
