You'r Favourite Ever Planet Swans/Jackarmy.net Moment 20:00 - Sep 4 with 13025 viewsPhil_S

Seeing as this was being discussed on a different thread I thought it deserved a thread all of its own

What is your favourite moment from 13 years+ of JackArmy.net/Planet Swans?

For me it will always be Paltalkjack's meltdown where he accused me of cyber stalking him and was off to tell the police all about it. Monty was involved too.

I can even remember where I was reading it - was sat in a hotel room in Worthing with slow wifi but tears pouring down my cheeks as he went around in circles!

T2C's just given me an idea. Now that we're no longer in positions of "authority", all of us ex mods could blow this place wide open by revealing all the information we've gleaned about posters over the years. Stuff we've learned from interrogating their IPs, hacking the email addresses that they used to register here (tip - don't use the same password for everything, doofuses), reading their private messages etc. Y'know, all the stuff we've been pretending we couldn't see for years but really could. Lucky I wrote some of it down. I've been itching to do this for years but never did out of respect for Phil. But now that he's dropped us all after years of sterling service, I feel no such obligation.

Oh don't tell him that FFS he's thick enough mun

Yep, glad you find it so funny..

Cheers for the courteous reply.

Unfortunately can't say the same for Darran, he's so angry of late, I really am very concerned what he's capable of.

You're all out of time....the past was yours but the future's mine.

One of my earliest memories of Jack Army was after beating Mansfield 4-1 at home. They had a player sent off for kicking Britton on the floor, and 1 of their fans had an absolute meltdown about it. Must have been about 10 years ago. It might have been that Stagmad character referred to earlier in thread actually.

Sheriff Adz hasn't been brought up yet...and his attempts to:

> Convince everyone 9/11 was a hoax
> Convince everyone he had a phD after only 2 years at University
> Convince everyone that Leeds were going to get their points back

That last one was hilarious. I think he actually bet a few people, then, when proved wrong, tried to weasel his way out of it.

Come off it, Chris. Anyone that concerned about data security on a forum like this probably shouldn't be using one. What did we have to give to register? A name (which could be any old name) and an email address, which could be any random Hotmail accounts. I've got loads that I've used to register on various forums over the years. No address, no bank details, absolutely nothing that could be used in a harmful way at all.

Was it Swim Away that use to post on Planet Swans when we were in the Championship?

Took us beating them 1-0 in the League Cup derby really badly I seem to remember.

Quoting someone's mental diarrhea before the afflicted originator has had the sense to edit it was a superb piece of functionality the old site had that this one lacks. Nowadays the quote gets edited as well after the event :(

Ah Sid and Armchair. Debt is good, m'kay. Happy days. Remember when people thought Mozzer was sound until it turned out that he, like every bassey, could never cope when we had them under our heel. They've been fun.

Oh and +1 for the MTJ Havant meltdown. That was superb. Dav had some way to go to achieve those levels.

OI! Ux, I met Mozzer once in the center stand when Cadrift res were playing ours. Lovely fella. He was heavily involved in the message boards Cardrift v Swans charity matches,

I went to a few of those and didn't change my opinion on him. Good bloke who did a lot of work with kids football.
Just a shame, he chose the wrong club to support.

Not only that but you could selectively edit. That was a bastad when you used have part of your quote taken out of context.

Sorry Lorr but can only go on what I saw, and I saw someone who was all very nice when we were below them but whose mask slipped when the boot was on the other foot.

Good to hear he wasn't totally beyond redemption though

You know as well as I, that the written word on here ....can be nothing like the person typing it.

For instance, Darran despite his colourful language, is really a decent bloke.

"invisible badges/embossed swan" was my absolute favourite on JA. any chance that could be resurrected in a threads of honour section?

also liked the PS thread from a few years back about stupid things people did when they were mangled.

I don't think we've ever had a comedy poster with the original creativity of Norman B (The_Mong).

I'm getting all dewy eyed with nostalgia here.

ideally no but Rivals allowed people to register that username back in 2001 so it would be a pointless reference without it.

In 2001 things were accepted which aren't now. Bit like the Del boy episode.

But thanks for clarifying.
