| Forum Thread | Trust Statement regarding deal at 09:59 6 Jan 2018
We have been advised by the majority owners of Swansea City that they intend to put discussions around the sale of some of the Trust's shares to the owners of the club on hold. When informing us of this, the owners of the club cited the ongoing concerns among some Trust and Trust Board members about aspects of the share sale and also the majority owners own desire to concentrate on on-field matters. As the mandate from Trust members to sell shares was given in July 2017 and there will now be a further delay in fulfilling that mandate, the Trust Board can confirm that a further members’ consultation will take place to ensure the Trust Board is acting on the current views of its membership on how we proceed from this point. We will provide a further update to members as soon as possible. |
| Forum Thread | I'll just put this here ... at 18:44 30 Oct 2016
.... as I'm getting a bit fed up. It's a Sunday evening, I've had a great week off and here I am arguing the toss over interpretations of past things which the Trust have held their hands up to, or utterly spurious accusations. As a Trust, we cannot continue like this. The burden on the officers is untenable. The debate needs to move on to the following: a) what the Trust is going to do next in terms of the next Supporters Director, b) what action the Trust is going to take in terms of legal action against the sellers and the buyers c) what discussions the Trust are going to have in terms of the new owners. Sell or stay? What role should the Trust have. If there are allegations of past indicretions then of course they need to be addressed, however the above is what is important, for all parties. We are at a critical point in our history and this could all too easily go awry. The future now has to be the focus. The past? Mistakes were made by good people. Think you could do better? Good. Stand. The Trust needs you. |
| Forum Thread | Supporters Trust governance documents at 22:20 24 Oct 2016
Following on from the SD dicussions in the other threads, the aforementioned documents relating to the Trust roles, responsibilities and governance documents are now available at http://www.swanstrust.co.uk/join-the-trust-board/ . There are four documents online : a) Key Roles and Posts - which details the non SD roles in the Trust b) Conflict of Interest and Disciplinary Process - which details any currently perceived conflicts of interest, process to review and also internal governance procedures c) Supporters Director Role - which details the specific Supporters Director role d) Declaration Register - Which details business interests of Trust board members at the football club, and relevant details where not commercially sensitive. This has taken a considerable time to discuss, agree and complete and I think is a significant step forward in ensuring the Trust is completely open and above board going forward in how its board members operate and any interactions with the club. All feedback welcomed. [Post edited 24 Oct 2016 23:16]

The history of this shameful act by the city of Liverpool is being shown on BBC One now. A disgraceful blot on the copybook of that city. |

My BT deal has just run out so looking at switching broadband providers. Toying with the idea of getting the top end Virgin deal but annoyed to see they still want you to have a line rental with them. Who on earth still uses their home phone? Anyway, any recommendations, horror stories etc? |

| Forum Thread | Momentum and overreacting at 20:58 16 Aug 2014
Great win today of course and a much needed reality check from the premonitions of doom after the friendly last week. However shouldn't those using today's result as justification for saying we're ace show a little bit of the restraint that the doom mongers should have shown? For me, loads of positives today but still lots of questions to be answered ... something Monk himself alluded to after the match. We've got two very winnable home matches coming up now. Hopefully we can use the momentum of today's result to get results there and really set us up for the season. Big game next week ... hope the expectation levels in the stands are kept at realistic levels ... |

Any news from the club regarding season ticket renewal figures? Know a couple of people who aren't renewing so might be a few floating around from tomorrow onwards. |

And I can't believe what I'm reading. We drew at Arsenal tonight. Fookin Arsenal. You'd swear we drew at Caersws given the sense of entitlement. Be annoyed we didn't win by all means (damn you Probert) but remember what was achieved. |
