It's called class. You obviously don't understand this concept.
Can you imagine in rugby someone like Phil Bennett coming back to Llanelli at the fag end of his career, playing for someone else...and having abuse hurled at him?
Someone like Ash has earned our respect, or should have.

He most certainly has earned our respect, we can only hope that someone else will pick up his captaincy and be as strong a leader as Ashley Williams. YJB

Does the class and respect work both ways in your view Kerouac or just one?

Its called football obviously you don't understand the concept.
Ashley Williams has become a very rich man because of Swansea City FC when he comes back I am sure he will except (or want) any favours for 90 mins.
I cant believe people are even talking about applauding him during the game ....

Nobody is saying they will hurl abuse at him. But cheering him on for another team is embarrassing. How about cheering on his replacement for us in the hope that it will increase his performance during the game. Give him a clap after the game if you really wish to but not diluting it!

Applauding him during the game? The way Chris Wathan is acting, the local press may well be lining up an 'Ashley Williams Souvenir Pull-Out'.
Lots of fees I expect in ghost writing a biography in the future !
Can't believe we've gone all those years though not paying him millions for his services - playing for the sheer love of the club he was - no wonder he's jumped at the very first chance he's ever had of leaving.
Great player. Great money for us. Great leader of men? Lol.

The classy thing to do is to give your full and unmitigated support to the team you follow not opposition players.
The North Bank ( pre Liberty Stadium pre Permier League) used to have a lovely song to cover this sitution " Hello Hello Swansea reject Swansea reject " but that was when football was watched by proper fans who knew how to get behind thier team and create an intimidating atmosphere.
Once AW has retired from football and is invited to the club to come on to the pitch before a game I will give him my unqualified support until then he is an opposition player and as a wise man once said " f uck him".

It's not the first opportunity he's had of leaving the club. I believe he signed three contract extensions with us, during each of which he had plenty of interest.
As a leader, he led us to our best ever Premier League season and to the only major trophy in our history. We can't exactly turn our noses up at those achievements.

Plenty of speculation, how much genuine interest?
Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.
This is the best thing to do, 18,000 people chanting aaaashley aaaashley...
