Thanks Ash on 09:04 - Jul 31 with 2669 views | exiledinenglandjack | There CB partnership of Ash with either Jagielka or Funes Mori next year looks good if we can sign a decent striker or two

Thanks Ash on 08:54 - Jul 31 by magicdaps10 | 10M for a 32yr old is good business in my eyes. My concerns are the timing and what the actual board have planned. |
Good business for who though? The 'investors' can do what they like with that. Shame on HJ and the others... WTF have you done? I'd rather you left the club completely.

I wouldn't be particularly surprised (or disappointed) if this turned out to be the case again. On the flip side, if (yep I know it's a big one) we replaced with quality, £10m would be a decent enough fee.

Same here. We've had the best years out of him, but even last season you could see errors and pace issues creeping into his game. I'd rather him leave on a high than get slated this season for being a liability 👠

If this turns out to be true and not the usual agent crap, I agree. He's the heartbeat of the team. Will be a huge loss. Some things are worth more than money in the bank.

Thanks Ash on 10:35 - Jul 31 with 2092 views | Clinton | If ash goes, I'm surprised he doesn't go to a team offering a last gasp chance of European football, champions league would be something I would want in Ashs position. Even if it was with Celtic or someone. Maybe none of them want him despite the rumours.

He's gone for the money and maybe a chance of Europa league. He was never gonna sign for one of the big 4

Thanks Ash on 10:51 - Jul 31 with 1987 views | UplandsJack | Well I'm obviously in the minority camp. Im happy to say thanks and goodbye to Ash. Thanks very much to everton if £10 mill turns out to be the amount paid for him. I honestly don't rate Ash at all as a captain. A quality defender ( more of a sweeper than out and out cb in my eyes) but no great leader. Just how many times have we seen him drop his head or even pull his shirt over it... He struts around like Billy big bollox causing a lot of unrest and every transfer window we read stories he's off here or there.... No for me he won't be that great of a lose. Lets be honest hes poor in the air and looses his man far too often at set pieces. All bread and butter work for a quality CB. Amat for me given games could/would be a better player. I also think Freddie performs better alongside Amat than he does when paired with Ash. If and it seems to be a massive if, the club re-invest the money in the squad, I have no problem with this at all.

Thanks Ash on 11:32 - Jul 31 with 1816 views | angryjack | like previous posters have said no point getting 10 mill 20 mill or even 50 mill its only a good price if money goes back into club for players not to line these c''nts pockets

Even if it's agents stirring, they can can information around amongst the clubs and the players. They wouldn't need to do it via the press.
Thanks Ash on 12:08 - Jul 31 with 1620 views | tomdickharry | No way Williams is leaving, same for goes for Siggy and Ayew,Jenkins has always said that every deal we do is for the best for Swansea City,to let any of these players leave would be utter stupidity without players of equivalent quality being signed first and they cost serious money, consequently they will not be sold.

It's almost as if the journos are making stuff up to fill their pages during the quiet summer months.

Using the press is the best way to put public pressure on clubs via fans. It's a proven way of doing things. Every good agent does it.
