Swans await Tom Ince response ... 08:02 - Jan 28 with 13612 views_Kieran

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25921273?

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says the club is waiting to hear if Tom Ince will join from Blackpool.

The 21-year-old winger has had talks with the Swans, but has not indicated if he will make the move to the Liberty Stadium.

"I have spoken to him, I can't say anything more," Laudrup confirmed.

"[But] this is a player who is in the situation and has only a few months left of his contract and he can do whatever he wants to."

Swansea have secured the signing of Bolton striker David Ngog until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.

However, the Swans have so-far been frustrated in their pursuit of England under-21 Ince who has also been linked with Cardiff City and Monaco.

Laudrup is hoping the transfer chase will not detract attention from a run of crucial Premier League matches, which starts on Tuesday against Fulham.

After Fulham, Swansea face West Ham, Cardiff City and Stoke City - clubs all locked in a tight battle in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Cardiff City are bottom of the table with 18 points - only six behind Aston Villa who are nine places above them in 10th.

"The next four games are crucial games for us starting with Fulham - we play against four direct opponents who are there together with us," said Laudrup.

"These four [games] plus maybe Liverpool (23 February) and Crystal Palace (2 March) these will [decide] how it will be - if we have to suffer until the 11 May or we may be a little further away [from relegation].

"At this moment we are all in there, with six points between 11 teams and because it's direct opponent every time - or five in the next six games - that means every game you can call it a six-pointer.

"It's a very important period now on until the start of March."

Swansea go into the match against Fulham having failed to win in the Premier League since their 3-0 success over Newcastle on 4 December.

It is a run of matches which has seen the Swans slip to 15th in the table, with Laudrup acknowledging after their 3-1 home defeat against Tottenham that his side were now involved in a fight to avoid relegation

Keeping his options open isn't he.

If it were a quality player one a scale of Juan Mata to Ronaldo I would accept this messing about but it's Tom 'kin Ince.
Even if he does come to Swansea he's will arrive with suspicion.
Tell him to go take one Huw and move on to other targets.

It's p!ssing me off too. Get to Getafe Jenks, they're the second best Welsh club as it is.

It also turns out they have some decent strikers, went 2-0 up after 15 against Barca Alvaro wouldn't had scored either...

Whatever happened to "We only want players who want to play for Swansea City"?

Tell him (and his Dad) to do one, Huw, and get some cash out for realistic targets. Pilkington, for a start.

All of the above. If he's not sure then do one.

The kid's got five options in front of him. Put yourself in his shoes. Wouldn't you take a day to mull things over?

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

He's doing some 11th hour whoring around. This one will go to deadline day. Get on the blower to Norwich about the pilkington bid and pursue that. And ring getafe about Leon, it'll probably be enough to panic the little sh*t into signing anyway. If other offers were forthcoming he'd have turned us down by now.

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

Didn't Norwich come out and say they had no intention of selling him?

I know words don't mean much mind, and I'd be chuffed to get him too. Shorter term I'd rather him than Ince ...

Yeah but we also have other options. He's not that good that he can afford to dangle five clubs, we have business to do same as him.

Pedro is class. And he has a quality last name.

EDIT - And he isn't a sicknote.

Maybe but it'd still be an odd move from their POV.

Hurry up clueless Chris (Hughton) and let the lad leave!

Should get him. They'll take 3 mil which we offered for pilkington, we'll waste our time waiting for ince and he'll sign for Hull.

Whatever happened to them? Who are these mystical players then? Using that logic we'd end up with a load of sunday league players ffs.

Grow up.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I doubt we'd land him for 3 million mate he's been playing too well recently.

Even at 10 million he would represent good value IMO, although I couldn't see us splashing out that!

realistically I imagine he''ll be joining us - put yourself in his shoes, next season you can join whoever you want (maybe Monaco), would you go to a Cardiff team under a relatively inexperienced manager with a slightly odd (putting it mildly), or a stable Swansea City side, playing attractive football, with a legend of the game as a manager....Ince can certainly learn a few more tricks in 4 months with Laudrup than anywhere else

Don''t think anyone begrudges a player looking at all his options - a very sensible thing to do.
But this has become part two of a circa he started last summer (maybe before that), it has been done very publicly and for that reason Tom and Paul Ince are losing support.
In the main, Swans fans appreciate quiet negotiation and completed outcomes to making a big fuss over players who might come but then don't - we leave that to press speculation.
