Swans await Tom Ince response ... 08:02 - Jan 28 with 13613 views_Kieran

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25921273?

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says the club is waiting to hear if Tom Ince will join from Blackpool.

The 21-year-old winger has had talks with the Swans, but has not indicated if he will make the move to the Liberty Stadium.

"I have spoken to him, I can't say anything more," Laudrup confirmed.

"[But] this is a player who is in the situation and has only a few months left of his contract and he can do whatever he wants to."

Swansea have secured the signing of Bolton striker David Ngog until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.

However, the Swans have so-far been frustrated in their pursuit of England under-21 Ince who has also been linked with Cardiff City and Monaco.

Laudrup is hoping the transfer chase will not detract attention from a run of crucial Premier League matches, which starts on Tuesday against Fulham.

After Fulham, Swansea face West Ham, Cardiff City and Stoke City - clubs all locked in a tight battle in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Cardiff City are bottom of the table with 18 points - only six behind Aston Villa who are nine places above them in 10th.

"The next four games are crucial games for us starting with Fulham - we play against four direct opponents who are there together with us," said Laudrup.

"These four [games] plus maybe Liverpool (23 February) and Crystal Palace (2 March) these will [decide] how it will be - if we have to suffer until the 11 May or we may be a little further away [from relegation].

"At this moment we are all in there, with six points between 11 teams and because it's direct opponent every time - or five in the next six games - that means every game you can call it a six-pointer.

"It's a very important period now on until the start of March."

Swansea go into the match against Fulham having failed to win in the Premier League since their 3-0 success over Newcastle on 4 December.

It is a run of matches which has seen the Swans slip to 15th in the table, with Laudrup acknowledging after their 3-1 home defeat against Tottenham that his side were now involved in a fight to avoid relegation

I’ve spoken individually to all the players and I’ve told them all what I expect from them." “We’re all in this together and I want everyone to know that we’ve given our all. That’s all I can ask for.”

Left Stoke now according to BBc sport

Football

"Tom Ince has now left Stoke after 45 minutes of talks and didn't stop to talk to reporters. Ince and his former England international father Paul, left with Stoke Chief Executive Tony Scholes. "

How considerate to organize talks into sessions of time that footballers feel comfortable in. I wonder if there was any injury time?

How long did his talks here last, 90mins, 120 mins? 15?

Sky say he will be going to another BPL team for talks and also meet Sunderland's manager, Poyet, for a discussion. He will make a decision on Thursday. I'd say that is too late for us and that if there are other irons in the fire we must push on.

What do they actually talk about in these meetings? Is is just money? I can't imagine that there is much for the player to learn about the club or the manager that they don't already know.

Well, I scoffed at the idea yesterday, but it really does look like him and his dad are on a road-trip around the UK so that different clubs can spout their sales pitch to them in person.

I guess this is an odd situation that's possible as Ince Snr has just been sacked and has no job to go to and Ince Jnr has effectively gone on strike since Sat, refusing to play in the last game and obviously not turning up for training this week. Although, as it seems a loan to a Prem club is the only way Blackpool will get much money from Ince before he goes in the summer, they don't appear too bothered.

Yep feck 'em it's like a royal entourage, could have it all sorted in a day with video conference to all clubs and visit to the one he fancies the next day. Thursday is to late time to move on .....

I hope he's a bit quicker about his decision making on the pitch.

It does seem to be something of a travelling circus. Was it ever thus and we just didn't know about it before Sky Sports stationed reporters at the grounds or are the Inces' exploiting the situation more than most to attract more offers?

I suspect none of us really know.

I don't blame him waiting for the best offer, but up and down the UK on a roadtrip to see who impresses him the most? Just pick up the phone, never played a game in the premier league, could be sh@.

Maybe the Inces are trying to get into the Guinness Book of Records for most PL clubs visited in the final week of the January transfer window (surprised they didn't call in at the Redtits on the way through) ;)

C'mon Bony shoot !!!!

All this is just to work out where he's going to play the next few months on loan, we're not talking about a 3 year deal here. I can understand a lot of time and energy spent on a permanent move, but this just a short term loan he's committing himself to.

What's he going to do in the summer when the loan ends, go on a gap year to work out his next move?

Do they still do that European Under 26 railcard, he could do France, Germany, Spain , Italy.

You can understand the Ince's ensuring they get the best deal for themselves, but given the window we can't leave ourselves wide open for the close of the window. A deadline will need to be set, and alternatives lined up.

I know football doesn't work like this but If I were Huw Jenkins I'd give him until10 tomorrow morning and that's it (or even tonight). Tell him we would love to sign him, he knows the football we play, he can see how players have developed with us.

It will then go two ways, if he wants to sign, he'll get his ars* back down here, if he feels affronted then he's too arrogant and his heart obviously isn't in it.

Either way at least we'll know where we stand and have a few days to sign an alternative if we do have other options. Waiting until Thursday is bollox. Not that I blame the Ince's, but they must also appreciate that this is a multi million pound transfer window with huge financial factors at stake. Expecting clubs to wait until the 11th hour isn't on.

Let's chuck in that bid for Pilkington then if we're looking for a proven PL performer.

Or even better a sneaky bid for my boy Pedro Leon. #LaLigaFanBoy

He is the sh!t I'm telling you, has the skills like Pablo and isn't a sicknote.

He hasn't had the best of careers going by his statistics but he has been tearing up defences this season and his recent form is more important than anything else. (He's 27 btw)

Getafe CF - Within our price/wage bracket, we could even send them Alvaro back as a sweetner.

Absolutely. I would imagine he was given a fixed time in which to make up his mind and work will have continued on a Plan B - assuming that is, that we feel it necessary to buy now and that the offer to Ince was not just because he happened to become available at this time.

Football can work like that. It occasionally does. Andy Robinson springs to mind.

All this hassle leads me to believe this can't possibly just be about a loan deal.

first they spoke to Alan Curtis
then Stoke City coach, and then some bloke from Palace hoping he choose Selhurst Park.

I am struggling to understand what he has done to warrant 5 premier league clubs wanting his signature.
Unproven in the Premier League 7 goals for Blackpool this season.
And all this fuss for a loan move.
What happens if he he gets a serious injury in the next few months nobody will want him then and I for one wouldnt have much sympathy for the greedy tw##.

today Stoke City had talk with him.
