Swans await Tom Ince response ... 08:02 - Jan 28 with 13619 views | _Kieran | http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25921273? Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says the club is waiting to hear if Tom Ince will join from Blackpool. The 21-year-old winger has had talks with the Swans, but has not indicated if he will make the move to the Liberty Stadium. "I have spoken to him, I can't say anything more," Laudrup confirmed. "[But] this is a player who is in the situation and has only a few months left of his contract and he can do whatever he wants to." Swansea have secured the signing of Bolton striker David Ngog until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee. However, the Swans have so-far been frustrated in their pursuit of England under-21 Ince who has also been linked with Cardiff City and Monaco. Laudrup is hoping the transfer chase will not detract attention from a run of crucial Premier League matches, which starts on Tuesday against Fulham. After Fulham, Swansea face West Ham, Cardiff City and Stoke City - clubs all locked in a tight battle in the bottom half of the Premier League. Cardiff City are bottom of the table with 18 points - only six behind Aston Villa who are nine places above them in 10th. "The next four games are crucial games for us starting with Fulham - we play against four direct opponents who are there together with us," said Laudrup. "These four [games] plus maybe Liverpool (23 February) and Crystal Palace (2 March) these will [decide] how it will be - if we have to suffer until the 11 May or we may be a little further away [from relegation]. "At this moment we are all in there, with six points between 11 teams and because it's direct opponent every time - or five in the next six games - that means every game you can call it a six-pointer. "It's a very important period now on until the start of March." Swansea go into the match against Fulham having failed to win in the Premier League since their 3-0 success over Newcastle on 4 December. It is a run of matches which has seen the Swans slip to 15th in the table, with Laudrup acknowledging after their 3-1 home defeat against Tottenham that his side were now involved in a fight to avoid relegation

Swans await Tom Ince response ... on 09:25 - Jan 28 by Dull1Thomas | Don''t think anyone begrudges a player looking at all his options - a very sensible thing to do. But this has become part two of a circa he started last summer (maybe before that), it has been done very publicly and for that reason Tom and Paul Ince are losing support. In the main, Swans fans appreciate quiet negotiation and completed outcomes to making a big fuss over players who might come but then don't - we leave that to press speculation. |
This. I don't have a problem with him keeping his options open, but keep it on the down low ...

Swans await Tom Ince response ... on 09:13 - Jan 28 by Neath_Jack | Ah right, my mistake. In that case he should just sign for whoever comes in for him first then. That'll be fair. Jesus is not weeping, he's breaking his f*cking heart reading this lot. |
Again, no, not anywhere has anyone said whoever comes in for him first he should sign for, please read before you comment, otherwise Jesus will just give up.

For once I don't think the media is at fault here at all (even Radio Wales were questioning his approach this morning) it appears to be the player and his 'agent' dad who are turning the situation in to a circus. I'm sure most players looking at transfers will check out several proposals before one or maybe two before making their decision; this fella an chis adviser have form.

Not long left if he doesn't sign and we re looking thin on the ground for players when our relegation rivals have brought in reinforcements. Something aint right and maybe some have accepted we cant remain in the PL

I can't see Liverpool wanting him. I reckon he'd join us over Cardiff, it's Monaco I'm concerned about.

The voice of reason ......... I hope footballers do not read message boards before signing, think Ince will be running a mile if he read this board.

Im only interested if he wants to come to my cluib and do a job for us until the end of the season.. Im not bothered about giving him a break, Im not concerned about his future, Im not concerned about the fruit of his loins, I really don't care if he has anger issues or an overindulgent obnoxious father who openly touts him around. I m coming Lucifer so stoke that furnace high

I tend to agree The young man has been around football all his life, he knows the score. He's seen what we have to offer, he's slept on it which is a good idea. Yes or no please.

That is almost spot on - I assume though that you are happy for anybody to look at all options before deciding which club they would like to be at or would you prefer them to just jump at the first offer?

Very good point, but I expect he and his Dad are driving through leafy South London at the moment en route for the Hilton,Croydon to meet representatives of Palace who are armed with Video's of how he would fit into the hoof ball type of game. Have said it before and will say it again he will not sign for us,hope we have other iron's in the fire all gone quiet on Pilkington, have a feeling come Friday we wont see the helicopters landing outside the Liberty moments before deadline day is finished.

I am only interested in our club not any individual. I see no reason for anyone to express concern over Ince jnr. He could well have wasted our time

Surely he knows whether he wants to coached by someone who was ten times the player his Dad ever was. It would be a huge plus for the boy. And apart from Curt, ML might even have some tips for him.

Would a helicopter even be allowed to land outside the Liberty? I think that may be the first ever prediction you've made that will come true. If Ince does sign for us, I look forward to all the moaners here backtracking about his signing as soon as he scores a goal or provides a great assist.
