derry appeal thrown out on 16:08 - Apr 10 with 2914 views | Antti_Heinola | Confirmed on the Offish. Amazing, really, yet at the same time totally predictable. Ashley Young widely criticised by just about everyone for an appalling dive - Young did not have the ball, so it couldn't be a goalscoring opportunity and the so-called 'foul' only came about because of horrendous officiating. This is pretty much an admission of bias, even corruption. I hate Grant Holt, but King's assault of him was in another league to Derry's vague touch, yet he got nothing. This is an invitation to players to dive, it's as simple as that. It's not good enough. I'm all for respecting the referees. but how about some respect for fans, too? After all, we their focking wages.

This kind of thing quite simply brings football into disrepute; the FA is a disgrace.
| ‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’ |

derry appeal thrown out on 16:13 - Apr 10 with 2826 views | adhoc_qpr | The FA's corruption never ceases to amaze! Can i assume that from now on everytime a player is in physical contact with another player there will be a free kick/penalty given? Has the linesman at least been dropped for the weekend??
derry appeal thrown out on 16:14 - Apr 10 with 2815 views | loftboy | Why bother renewing our season tickets when blatant cheating/mistakes decide football matches, I am really getting pissed off with kunts like Ashley young thinking its all part of the game.

derry appeal thrown out on 16:14 - Apr 10 with 2808 views | Neil_SI | It's disgraceful really and they lack common sense. The whole situation would be put to bed if they rescinded the decision and then everybody would have accepted it was a bad mistake and got on with it. They don't help themselves at the best of times and they really ought to explain the details and what led them to come to their decision, rather than just announcing factual information that Derry was dismissed for denying a goal scoring opportunity. The way football is governed is what encourages players to go over easily. This crept into the game because of the way rules have been changed or been clarified, and then executed over the years and creating these exploitable grey areas for players to take advantage of. The players have adapted and clocked on, but the way the game has governed hasn't caught up or re-adjusted to mitigate for those issues. Oh well.
derry appeal thrown out on 16:14 - Apr 10 with 2803 views | Nov77 | could be payback for Faurlingate. maybe Hughes, Bowen and Niedzwiecki should have appealed to the Welsh FA?

derry appeal thrown out on 16:15 - Apr 10 with 2787 views | barbicanranger | what a load of wnk what should have come out of this was a caution of young for diving and derry cleared, as someone has mentioned above the FA are in effect condoning diving and conning the ref...the game has gone mad.

derry appeal thrown out on 16:19 - Apr 10 with 2724 views | CheshireR | A disgrace - but no real surprise. These jokers at the FA are convinced that we "got away" with the Faurlin situation last year. Consequently anything we do now is not looked upon favourably by them. I am convinced that this is all part of their pay back plan.
derry appeal thrown out on 16:20 - Apr 10 with 2700 views | Nov77 | they just gave Ashley Young carte blanche to carry on cheating.

derry appeal thrown out on 16:20 - Apr 10 with 2693 views | Antti_Heinola | And yet, has Ivanovic been dealt with yet for hammering a Wigan player in the kidneys off the ball? I assume he'll get away with that.

derry appeal thrown out on 16:22 - Apr 10 with 2660 views | eastside_r | The FA have all these fair play initiatives yet by letting this go they have established a cheats' charter. Absolutely no surprise whatsoever. Clueless bastards.
derry appeal thrown out on 16:25 - Apr 10 with 2629 views | Stanisgod | It will actually be a relief if we go down to get out of this corrupt, cheating, one- sided, biased, incompatent, sh*t League. They can stick the Premiershite up their R'S

derry appeal thrown out on 16:25 - Apr 10 with 2619 views | LeedsR | It just confirms the Lee Mason school of officiating: If in doubt or in any danger of any controversy, award in favour of MU. This clearly applies to the FA too. Gutless, spineless and useless at what they're supposed to do. Football is sooo skewed in favour of the "big" clubs.
