Ipswich match thread-me-do 01:01 - Dec 26 with 33094 views | Bluce_Ree | Boxing Day. Ipswich vs Supers. Just as we are all stuffed with Xmas turkey. Ipswich are about to get stuffed with some hooped dicks. 2-0 to the Rs.

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 16:58 - Dec 26 by PinnerPaul | He wasn't on the pitch when they scored? |
No but according to the radio he missed a open goal, which would have made it 2-0 so therefore we would have probadly won. So in my book he is a Kunt and also very lazy!

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 17:54 - Dec 26 with 2751 views | YorkRanger | Resigned myself long ago that we are a mid table team that will lose as many as we win....
Ipswich match thread-me-do on 17:57 - Dec 26 with 2733 views | derbyhoop | Saw that coming with less than 10 minutes to go. Ipswich were piling forward and we were retreating. You only have to get caught once from that position. We have to accept that this team is the very definition of mid table.

With these results I'd say...........lower mid table

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 17:59 - Dec 26 with 2704 views | SuffolkHoop | Fer should have scored make no mistake. Rounded the keeper but found himself at an awkward angle on his wrong foot. Brought the ball back in the middle and had a go on his right. Their keeper had regained position and got a hand to it. He should have scored no question, but Ipswich got a bit lucky.

My heart bleeds for him. He's a troubled soul. Perhaps he should become a Buddist monk. He plays like one.

I'm just a bit concerned that if results don't go Jimmy's way fairly soon, he may get shown the door. Les said before the Brighton game we are going for the play offs. Ian Holloway said, please tell me you're not going to fire him if you don't, and les backtracked. But what does Tony think? He doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I think lee hoos does, but he reports to Tony at the end of the day. We do need to have a bit of patience, they have selected Jimmy, let him sift the dead wood, build his own team, and see it through

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 17:41 - Dec 26 by SuffolkHoop | Just back. Rangers were unlucky to lose today. If Fer made it 2-0 when he should have done we'd have seen the game out comfortably. Signs of improvement are there. QPR looked organised but unfit. Greens kicking is awful, amateur standard. On more than one occasion he cost us possession today. Ale looks knackered and Polter was running in quick sand second half. Yes it's annoying to lose, but today it wasn't meant to be. Ipswich had real pace up front with Sears and as the game went on he looked more and more dangerous drifting along their front line. Change the keeper Monday and get some younger fullbacks in January would be my priority now. That and someone who can play either with or instead of Polter when Austin is injured. |
Thanks for that - I didn't follow the game but I would've guessed this would be the story seeing how the goals fell. These kuntz not being fit enough to play full on for 98 minutes is nothing short of a scandal There are only one or two constants at high levels of the club for whom the badge of shame for this need to be worn. Clowns What's encouraging is we are a fit Yun (yeah, right), an in form Furlong and Smithies stepping up to the plate away from improvement. That's all at the club The real issue is and will be Charlie's replacement and there are five to ten million reasons why that will trouble us for another 3 or 4 years I fear We move on to Monday and a right good drink

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 18:46 - Dec 26 with 2455 views | GloryHunter | Just back too. Agree with everything Suffolk says. Plus, why can't QPR teams ever learn how to see a game out? 1-1 away, and playing as we were, would not have been a bad result, Konchesky went down after a bad tackle on 90'ish, and could have stayed down, but insisted on struggling to his feet. Then, instead of wasting time, running it into the corners etc, we kept tryting to attack, and kept gifting them the ball back - Greeno especially. Hair tearing-out stuff.
Ipswich match thread-me-do on 18:50 - Dec 26 with 2435 views | billericaydicky | I've just got back and am still scratching my head as to how we lost that - it looked like that for both goals our centre halves got pulled around and we miss Chief in the middle - we desperately need a right back in my opinion. However I am fuming with Green - his kicking is awful and had he put his foot through a clearance in the 2nd minute of injury time instead of a powder-puff effort we may not have lost. Time to give Smithies a chance I think. Quite why we can't see games out is a mystery, but something JFH has to sort out soon. No new manager bounce for us... Ipswich were shite too. Merry Christmas.

If jfh is planning to play a pressing game, I'd imagine player fitness is one of the things he'll be emphasizing. Will take more than a couple of weeks to get there but you should get your wish
Ipswich match thread-me-do on 21:27 - Dec 26 with 2159 views | themodfather | didnt go and had no intention, barely checked the score....the loss of interest stuns me but a late goal and it seems we had chances to go 2-0 up and likley win...are we fit enough? green scares the hell out of me, his kicking is dire and he's an ex england number one? i'm giving jfh more time, we steadied the ship under warnock and many felt we could lose this one.....imo the squad have to get "involved" and show some heart cos it's a talented squad...someone said we needed young legs well we got gladwin, chery and lloungo, polter too, we need a new fitness coach.

You're giving jfh more time are you? That's very magnanimous of you!!

Ipswich match thread-me-do on 22:51 - Dec 26 with 2011 views | Jigsore | I wrote a big post comparing the signings of Hull's Andrew Robertson -£3m to Fer at £8m but I honestly can't be bothered with an backlash we're not actually very good, we might as well practically write of the rest of this season while we choose who is good enough for next season's team. in that frame of mind i'd suggest we'd start dropping people like Konchesky (nothing against him mind) and Green and start thinking about a team that will be able to challenge for a 2 or 3 more years.
