After that second goal you could see the confidence was flowing through his veins - he put in two of the highest leaps to win headers I've ever seen and timed them both to perfection, he looked pumped. Confidence is key now I think, moaning and groaning every time he makes a mistake isn't helping anybody - certainly not him, and by extension the team as a whole. We're 'supporters' allegedly - the clue is in the name. |
Yeah, the second goal looked like it gave him so much confidence. Really put himself about today and two very good finishes after that poor miss in the first half. Would have been easy for him to hide away after that.
His first touch isn't great admittedly, but if he's scoring goals who cares?

Lets face facts as much as you hate booing, with out the supporters there would of been no success for the club or indeed any club.
We are not at the vetch anymore with a hard core support (more`s the pity) we are now a prem club that brings in "fairweather" support that want instant success, so it comes with the territory I'm afraid.

Ive had a headache - a bad one. Its like someone has stuck an icepick between my years.
We re running out of crockery now as yesterday saw us reduced to the last decent set of Spode-ironic as we were playing Stoke - so I ve got to go to Asda to buy some cheap plates for the next game. Ive also got a massive hole in the boundary fence to repair as it doesn't take the hits the old one did.

Up to now Bony has been languid -possibly not had the best service- but he s the main man and he s got a job to do. I'm baffled why anyone would like to look for the 'worst' player on the pitch. Why not just give the WHOLE team credit for a great performance given the efforts in Russia this week. Even in the first half they created a number of good chances.
I know WB missed a couple in the first half but his movement and positioning for the two in the second were total class. And the physical work he put in against the Stoke defense was outstanding. | | | |
