Someone with a highly dubious record ( and his initial salary was certainly taking the p*ss ) runs business poorly, comes up with a poorly thought through stunt to maximise publicity for himself wanting to be the next great tech guy.
Ha! Why have you allowed yourself to be suckered in again? I'm sure your new year's resolution twelve months ago was not to be...
"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." There was a reason they called it Sunday 'School', there were lessons to be learnt.

I wasn't trying to suggest he'd impoverished himself, he even says that himself, but he's certainly contributed to others being better off has he not? Even someone as clearly blinkered as you can surely see that's a good thing?
And you mention his "dubious record". Maybe I'm missing something but how do you come to that conclusion?

On a serious note, Wayne, you'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to see there is something seriously wrong in an advanced society where millions of decent folk have to work every hour God sends, wearing themselves out, just to try and make ends meet.
I'm repulsed by poverty and all the concomitant problems that trail in its wake, as I'm sure that anybody with a properly functioning heart and head is. I don't pretend to have all the answers but I'm sure as to where the problem lies - with global 'free' trade and a political class that serves only as its agent and defender.

Moaning tw@ts - or people involved with the company long term. The problem is you could have an employee with excellent skills, innovative, driven company forward on 65k. They get a 5k rise to get to 70k. Someone new comes in, not as skilled, not as experienced. Maybe on 45k. They get a 25k raise.
Spot the problem? It bolsters lesser employs rather than the better performing ones because you can bet that this guy's aim ( other than cultivating his public image ). He won't be using 70k as a minimum salary with skilled employees getting say 100k - it'll be about getting all employees around that 70k mark.
So, if you're one of the top skilled employs, you're told your value to the company is the same as someone new with lesser skills.
Won the lawsuit? Good for him. You clearly missed the relevant points made though. He, in interviews, intimated strongly the lawsuit was down to this scheme. He stated the lawsuit was initiated in the April after the scheme. He was served the court papers in March. He therefore lied in interviews. If he's going to lie about that, then what else has he lied about?
I've nothing against pay rises. The issue is this is a cynical stunt to gain publicity for himself, the company and his inevitable book deal.
In an age crying out for a Daniel Labour offer up a dumbell!
What are his advisors telling him, I wonder? "Just say anything, Jez, and say it before the papers go to press if we don't remind people we are still alive they are going to assume we have died." I bet that's not too far off the mark thinking about it, Bluey.
Reaching back into my endless stock of half remembered Sunday School Proverbs... "never let a fool carry your message. If you do, it will be like cutting off your own feet." I don't know how I'd manage without King James to help me deride the reds on times. Marvellous man he was.

The problem is that violence is obviously never acceptable - but in stressful situations as in A&E you can understand why it happens without condoning it. The behaviour and conduct of NHS staff can often be far, far less than competent or professional.
I can't remember Sunday School. Maybe it's due to listening to too much heavy metal...
Speaking of poverty, I've literally just got back from a foodbank visit in the Swansea area. Not for myself, but to see if the company I work for could help out volunteering in some way. Anyway, as well as the obvious reasons for foodbank usage (sanctions, mental health issues, spiralling debt, Universal Credit 6 week wait etc) there are a surprising amount of working people using them. People who, when the rent , bills etc are paid, just haven't got enough left to feed their families. People who are often very embarrassed but use them as a last resort. I'm not using this post to point score or point the finger, but just to illustrate it's not a great place to be in 2017. Was food for thought anyway, excuse crap pun.
On the positive side, there were plenty of volunteers, and people are giving generously. These people also provide a coffee and cake, and it would seem can often be a lifeline for people who feel they have nowhere to turn.
Anyway, as you were.
If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--forever.

Whilst you're here, Loh, did you see the interview Andrew Neil had with that mad Oxford professor who complained to the police about Amber Rudd's speech?
As soon as I watched it, I immediately guessed what your reaction would be.
Far be it from me to speculate upon his political persuasion but he's certainly no fashion sense.
The right wing controls the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States of America as well as many other first World countries, that is why our country, our continent and the World is going down the sh*tter.

I haven't read the other four pages and you can't make me. I'm guessing it's as tedious and predictable as possible. Same old faces, same old shit. Am i close?
Assaults on NHS staff are rising in almost every NHS trust. It's a serious problem and it needs addressing. I love how your first instinct Bluey is to tacitly infer blame upon NHS staff. Yes you had a bad experience and yes we are all really sorry that you did. However the fact that you use that experience repeatedly to pour scorn on the NHS basically puts you in the same bracket as people Like Trampie for being completely ungrounded and irrational.
You're obviously a smart guy but f**k me you're transparent at times.

Indeed. Red too - hmm, complained to police about Rudd yet not about Brown or Milliband. You don't think he's one of those god awful Corbynistas do you?
I see Corbyn is standing shoulder to shoulder with the Brit Nats as regards his recent remarks regarding Scotland, its been noted in some quarters that if the Welsh and Scots were Irish and Palestinians that Corbyn would probably have a different view. Yet again Corbyn stands shoulder to shoulder with the Conservative party.
