He told me then they were absolutely skint and wouldn’t be buying any more players o come in .

You’re mixing up quality of signings with value of signings.
If it had not been Borja, Mesa et al it would have been other players at similar values. Whether they would be any good or not is an entirely different question altogether.
Not really mixing anything up. We bought them for over market value, then sold them at way less than we bought them for. Ignoring the fact that they offered no “value” to the playing squad while they were here.
Buy high, sell low. That is no way to run a business. 10’s of millions wasted!

And one thing that is much less widely understood is the extent to which Jenkins was already using debt to finance player purchase way before Kaplan rode into town.

What have I been right about?
Off the top of my head:
* The valuation of the club
* That the Trust should have engaged with the Moores consortium
* That the sellouts would go behind the Trust's back after they shelved Moores.
* All the tactical moves throughout the Kaplan takeover.
* The unfair prejudice strategy I gave to the Tust.
* The financial analysis of the club's position in general
* the prerilous state of the club's finances as detailed when the '17 accounts were published in particular
* That the transfer window last summer was not the 'best one ever' but rather a disaster in waiting
* That the football was not 'free-flowing' but a load of turgid crap.
* that the dishonest errand is being fed his lines from Jenkins

Yes a lot closer. Not a critism by the way. You’ve certainly been far closer than error20 where he and one or two others try to spin the news /information rather than try to understand it. But it takes all sorts and very occasionally entertaining but mostly a complete borefest.
But that’s based on some observations where you’ve made adjustments to your maths/calculations.
