The City official website is linking Dale with a move for their young striker Jack Redshaw following his release from Eastlands.

In a story which started off with the release of international trio Benjani, Martin Petrov and Sylvinho, tucked away in the final paragraph was a story of the release of three youngster from the Premiership side, one of which suggested Redshaw was attracting interest from Dale.

The highly rated striker, son of former Wigan player Ray Redshaw, has been a regular in the youth and academy sides at City once scoring four goals in a game, but has found himself released along with the aforementioned strikers.
