![]() Monday, 22nd Feb 2010 14:30 Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has insisted that the club won't break the bank to keep Leon Britton The midfielder, who was the subject of a bid from Wigan in January, is out of contract in the summer and according to Jenkins has received a final extension offer. "We've made Leon an offer - and it's our final offer," Jenkins told the News of the World. "There's a wage structure at the club and we're not going to break it. Britton last month claimed there was a 'massive chance' that his future remained at the Liberty Stadium, but with his deal running down, it would be a surprise if the new contract was signed. "Leon is fully aware of our point of view," Jenkins explained. "If he goes there will be no bad feeling about it."
