Roberto Martinez has refused to let the consecutive run of draws turn into a negative.

Swans boss Roberto Martinez has revelled his frustration at picking up the clubs sixth consecutive draw on Saturday but has refused to let events turn into negative thinking.

After striker Jason Scotland put the Liberty Stadium club ahead at Bloomfield Road. Swansea City looked to have broken the run of draws but substitute Alan Gow had other ideas as he levelled for the seasiders. Despite drawing against Simon Grayson's side, Martinez's squad rose a place to tenth but the Spaniard has bemoaned the players ability to kill the game off as he told the WM, he said “The disappointment comes that we should have killed the game off because you play the game for 90 minutes.”

He added, “We knew it would open up and we did get chances, but we took the wrong options at times. We will take another point. There is frustration and the players are getting disappointed that we are not winning games when the performances show that we deserve to."We controlled the game and dictated the tempo from the first second to the last. And, although we were missing a bit of creative touch in the final third in the first half, overall we controlled things.”

Looking back at the performance against Blackpool, Martinez has praised his players and branded some of the football on display as outstanding as he now alludes. “Some of the football was outstanding, and in the second half we were a threat every time we went in the last third.”

Refusing to let the run of draws turn into a negative the 35 year old believes that his side will come through this tricky period, he said "We know we need to get through this period in order for the team to become better players and for us to become a stronger football club. The cup is half full because it is six games undefeated. We know we have to improve and we will - but overall we were mature in a difficult environment and we can build on that."
