Broadly agree with that. I'm still happy and optimistic, but with two slight caveats:
1) Cifuentes mightn't be here next season. QPR Managers last less time than the ugly lad in a Western shootout, and
2) Cifuentes has been here nearly a year and I'm slightly surprised that we have the same recurring problem with our centre midfield not wanting the ball that I thought a Cryuffian disciple might fix in ten games. Either:
a) He's told the midfielders to demand the ball, and they're not listening,
b) He's told them not to demand the ball, or
c) He's not discussed it with them at all.
And I've no idea which.
Dozzell, EDB, Field, Colback, Madsen, Andersen and Varane. The bodies change, the conundrum remains. |

I think it's a great question, and one we'll find out in time. If we can get more players showing for the ball then we'll have more variety and be so much harder to contain, and I could see us stepping up a big level. It's potentially very exciting. Right now, we're too static, as you say.
On a side note, I think it was Andersen who played the quick ball to release Dembelé? |

I think that today's game can be used to back up the varying views.
On the one hand we didn't win today so why did we rest players, on the other if our first team played on Tuesday they would've tired today or got injured midweek, and on the third hand (this is like the Manx flag but with hands) maybe the 'First Eleven' isn't much better than the 'Cup Eleven'.
So, depending on what we all believed on Tuesday Night, weve all been proven right today!

Didn't spot Madsen's part in their goal, but agree that and he and Andersen are strolling through this. Both look knacky in possession with flicks and tricks but neither working hard enough to show for the ball when we have it at the back or on the wings. It's alowing us down and making it very easy to defend against us. |
