I've got an issue with those questioning their decision to attend based on the team sheet etc. I acknowledge the absences of key players and the poor recruitment etc, but I refuse to be negative before a ball has been kicked. Afterwards, well, we'll see.

well said that man

Great win. That's all that needs to be said. Except maybe to add the reason games are played is to see which team wins?!?

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

Think Keith Keane deserves a lot of credit today, covering at full back, making the right challengers.

#cavanagh

Exactly the sort of experienced organiser we need. Credit to Hill, he sent out a patched up side which didn't make sense positionally to some but the commitment out there is a massive positive for confidence.

Dale23years has always been a mong to be fair. The fact he can't string a literate sentence together should be a bit of a giveaway. I'm guessing he's a retired hoolie but still dresses in Stone Island and the like.

Despite the win I can't say I was impressed by Dale or entertained. That's just my opinion though. One thing struck me today was the number of kids I saw at the game in City shirts. That's wrong on many levels. I can see why our crowds suffer though for £10-15 more I could have seen City win 4-0. I wouldn't do that as Dale are my team by many have done and will do.

Good win. Bunney was my man of the match. He made some fantastic crosses today.

Keane played well too. His passing and distribution is pretty poor but he's good at what he's there for - being Peter Cavanagh.

Joe Bunney just had his best game for Rochdale

There, I've said it

He played very well, sound enough defensively (apart from one late lapse, mainly down to inexperience) and he put in some really telling crosses which won us the three points

Joey T did fine, nothing spectacular, but more solid than Camps who still looks out of sorts

Somehow, the formation worked. We never looked in too much trouble apart from the penalty against the run of play. A mention also for Keane, who went about his work quietly and skilfully in front of the back 4, or 3, or whatever!

Both our goals came from good fullbackery today. Bunny might not be everybody's cup of tea but he has got a wand of a left foot and can cross a ball better than anyone else in the side. He added so much more natural balance to our left than big Jim could dream of. Thought PV was average at Right Back though.

Has he? How many clean sheets have we kept with him in the team? How many clean sheets did we keep with an identical back four which included Eastham? That foul was absolutely brainless and shows how much of a liability is he. We should be sat here now, comfortably 1-0 up, yet we're going to struggle to get something out of this game now because of a moment of stupidity. It's the same thing every week.

Utter rubbish. McGahey has started the season well for us. Didn't get a clear view of the penalty from the Pearl St but the problem started much further upfield when a couple of players made errors, allowing them to break. Once you're in that situation, a foul is always on the cards.

I posted on another thread that nobody would have left the ground unimpressed.

Not quite sure how watching us put out a scratch side yet coming out on top with some quality goals against a team in the top six can be anything less than entertaining, in the sunshine and with some real grit at the end. Hard to please doesn't come into it.

Aye, today is what being a Dale fan is all about. Yes, the tactics were mystifying and we can't say we've found a solution to all our problems, but it was a determined performance that produced a great three points.

On another note, more and more you have to think that the Logan wages could have been better employed in other areas on the pitch. However, maybe the competition helps Lillis too.

Why???

People won't pay £20 to watch players who are not good enough for league 1 football

9 people in pub who decided to say in pub than go to game

9!! Really?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
