tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2302726 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 09:55 - Aug 24 with 4201 views | isitme | Kick them out of the league. Let the takeover happen and it gives the new owners time to sort everything out and get some players together ready to start in the non league pyramid next season. If they are allowed to carry on I don't see how they can fulfil any fixtures as they don't have enough or any players?

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 09:49 - Aug 24 by Scunnydale | As others have mentioned, the fact C&N have been reported to have been sniffing around for 10 weeks and chose to put their bid in 16mins before the deadline sounds dodgy as hell. Where was the news of this potential takeover the other day/week/month? Couple that with the reported lack of funds in the company account or whatever it was (I'm not into finances, so excuse the vagueness), and alarm bells should be ringing. But no, let's talk about buying top-class players and pushing for promotion. It's going to happen again, isn't it? |

Their MP says he has been 'working with them' since June 7th. Quite why they waited until the last possible moment is a mystery. Maybe so that there wasn't time to ask difficult questions and start digging, hoping it would sail through. Very odd way of doing things, if there's nothing to hide.

I expect BBC RM Sport to be all over this later with cutting edge interviews. Or Wagg will just talk about how it's affected him.

But they can sign loads and request those points back and look to avoid relegation. The footballing equivalent of thinking you’re Usain Boult before taking a couple of steps holding onto the sofa with a rusk in your hand.

The EFL have set this deadline because they have acknowledged that games can’t keep being postponed forever. Allowing a further extension inevitably means more postponements. So they are either working out another massive fudge or they are making sure they have watertight argument for why this ‘interest’ in buying (which is a long way off actually buying or having bought) should be ignored and the deadline stays in place. Let’s hope it’s the latter. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

They usually don't think once about paying a bill. Unless there is a 75% cheats discount.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 09:39 - Aug 24 by Dalenet | I am still a bit lost. So they applied for a CVA and agreed a 25p in the pound deal. Debts were reported to be £12m. But Dale is waffling on about how it wasn't his fault that the club had £40m of debt? Does that mean there are loans and ground mortgages to the tune of £28m or is he bullshiting it again? As for the EFL.......no amount of money paid to a CEO or Board matters if they are not focussed and disciplined. Who is policing the 60% salary cap rule. Clearly bury have been spending more than 100% for years. And who thinks its okay that the combined debt for the championship clubs is more than £1bn? |
Think he said 14 million.

They don't need to start digging - we already know that their balance sheet shows no sign that it can support the payment of debts and there has been no indication of where the money is coming from and at what cost. But not to worry, the gigglers have a shopping list at the ready - Carrington, top class players, promotion push....

The EFL's prime responsibility is to administer the competition. That competition is in flux due to this issue. The only discussion point today is have bury demonstrated the ability to fulfil a full season of fixtures? 46 League games; 1 FA Cup game and at least 3 Checkatrade games. - 50 in total. They can't fulfil their fixtures. Therefore, they have to be expelled. Any time extension gives these same questions at the end of the extension. Can they say yes to playing 50 games next week? Nope. I think (TVOS might be able to confirm) we hold the lowest ever points from the 1970's in this League. There's a bit of me that would love to see bury play and take that record from us.
