When a rookie striker is your only fit striker you're in trouble. Having Frey, Kolli and Cesar all out a lot of the time really has left us unbelievably thin and we were thin to start with realistically. Has to be a top priority in the summer, getting a genuine striker with some experience at this level.

Hi Bosh,

Sorry to alter your post but may i say that instead of 'a genuine striker', we get 2 genuine strikers, as 1 will go down with dysentry for 4 months knowing our luck.

Lloyd apparently carrying a groin strain as well. We did ok with what we had, against ten men you really want two strikers on the pitch to aim for we barely had half of one. Dont get the criticism of Chair put in a number of dangerous balls and dont get the criticism of Yang given we were playing against a low block I dont actually see what Smyth would have brought to the party. Seem to have a lot of injuries again at a time where we have the most ridiculous difficult fixture list

Yang was once again ineffective. Dembele did more in his cameo than he did all game. I hope Dembele starts v Boro.

Think everyone is being a bit harsh on Colback. I personally think the ref couldn't wait to give the pen. Those kind of challenges happen every game and 99% of time they never get called. It's just typical Rangers that'd get called on us

Manager doing Lloyd a bit of a favour with that comment.

Meanwhile Dan Bennie who’s in the best form of his life after winning the U-20 Asian cup sits on the bench for the whole game.

He's allegedly carrying a groin strain and we give him 45 minutes' playing time. Sorry, not believing that. He was dire and couldn't control the ball when it was played into him. Yanf too, who was supposedly brought in to improve us as a team, but was inconspicuous for the entire game.

As for the low block being some kind of impediment, sorry that's a feeble excuse. All teams have to contend with such a situation when the opponent is at least a player down, and most have the capacity to adapt/adjust accordingly. We may have had the numerical advantage but Yang, for the duration he was on, and Lloyd in the second-half, rendered that meaningless.

Found it very odd Yang was left on. Looked miles off it and up against a full-back on a yellow for virtually the whole game offered precious little. Would have liked to have seen Dembele on that side rather than wherever he was apparently playing.
