In like a lion, out like a lamb. Any other daft sayings to herald the arrival of spring ?

I'm astonished, it's a shock to me as I spent years working at the American Embassy cigarette company.

Starmer seemed to do well with Trump, but I gather he's given Trump The Isle of Wight.

I watched it on my PC before the 6 o'clock news. I still am rubbing my eyes in disbelief.

At least there's a nice view of Fuller Smith & Turner brewery.
My brother hated their beer - he called it Full o' Sh*t & Turnips.
I love it.

My uncle's brother, when I was a nipper, told me the army built that little flyover as it was needed urgently…...think he was pulling my leg.

I think the HH is the only pub in Hammersmith I've not been to. It was Watney's beer, so a no-no, then a sort of cafe/restaurant.
Does the Belle have cask Ale ?

We can rely on our council to do the right thing……
After they've tried all the other options first.

Also on Hammersmith, there's a new pub on King Street called the Hammersmith Belle. Anyone been in ? I've been in prison - no, not really, I've been away visiting relatives.

We've had a few chats about the disgraceful long term closure of the lovely bridge and I've found one proposal.
It's only showing here as a link but will open when I click.
Can anyone show it ? I've tried Imgur but no good.

I suppose if Ben Gunn became a “long time lurker, first time poster”, we'd ask him what is his favourite cheese.

I was arrested once for trying to steal an elephant.
My brief got me off though, it was a trumpety, trump, trump trumped up charge.

I suppose “horses for courses” would be the phrase used in this instance.
I haven't really got a clue, but perhaps a few Colback characters would've helped.
By the same token, could you say a few tricky clever players should've run rings around 'em ?

My alcohol-drenched memory isn't the best, but wasn't there a couple of seasons some time when Palace needed a win to stay up and we just capitulated ( apart fron Holloway, as player), and a few seasons later, Vicky Verky, we needed a win and Palace phoned it in to use modern parlance.

As my uncle's brother used to say “talk's cheap, money buys 'ouses”
As skipper, Cook would have the right to question the ref and may well have done so off camera.
On the other hand it may have made matters worse with a ref like this one.
