What a bunch of curmudgeons.
Since retiring I spend a fair bit of time working with student nurses, paramedics, cardiologists, audiologists etc. There are exceptions that prove the rule but they are respectful, hard working, empathetic, caring and bright young people who are a delight to be around.
Those are high end jobs so in order to achieve them they would have to have something about them.
Its the under 25's who just stare into space that do my swede in at present. You say hello and it's all they can do to muster an audible reply. They are incapable of starting a conversation, incapable of looking interested, incapable of creating their own work loads, have a chip on their shoulder........but when an ice cream van rolls up jingling its melody they perk up and start running around like mad fools!! Oh and if you do make a breakthrough and have a conversation......the next time you talk to them it's back to square one as if it's the first time you've ever met them!!! Plus they think they are rock hard if they've gone to the gym twice in a week.

It's not the over 60s leaving countless litter on the beach or discarding our kfc and McDonald's wrappers on the first bit of grass they see. But apparently these are the same people that are going to save the planet.

Plenty of youngsters can spell, and have good grammar, there's more than a few older heads on here who struggle with it.
Same for lumping them all in as being lazy, bad mannered, no respect etc. They are no different (on the whole) to us when we were kids mun.
You wouldnt believe how many people (mostly 20 - 30 year olds) cannot spell, read or write correctly in my job, shocking really when it was compulsory when I joined, if you couldnt you wouldnt make it past the first hurdle.
