First QPR result of your lifetime? 16:20 - Nov 11 with 11738 viewsBluce_Ree

For some reason, about three minutes ago I decided to look up the first QPR fixture to happen in my lifetime. I was a mere four days old when QPR played Liverpool at home.

QPR 0 - Liverpool 1. Oct 19th 1974.

Probably explains why I hate those c*nts so much.

What's youRs?

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

On the day I was born 2/4/38 we lost 3-1 away @ Watford. Div 3 (S) It was not on MOTD.

May I point out, you are three years younger than my mum (who still attempts to give me a hard time).

(She often wins.)

Lost 1-0 to Sheffiled Weds at Hillsborough on 12th Sept 1970, 3 days after I arrived.

I am the first QPR suporter in our family, so i very much doubt anyone would have been at the game...

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

Great thread. Had to look it up though.

I was six days old when we beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Loftus Road. Can't find the scorers.
24th November 1984

It meant we leapt above Villa in the table to 16th.

9/12/61

so mum was shocked into labour on the back of us hammering Tranmere 9-2 on the 3rd Dec. on the 10th we beat Udinese, sorry Watford as they were back then in Div 3 by 3-0. It wasn't until the 11th Feb before I saw the R's lose at Grimsby.

Your parents took a while to tie the knot didn't they A40???

I was born on 18th July '75. So my first game was a pre-season friendly on the 20th July against the then German Champions and U.E.F.A Cup holders Borussia Munchengladbach. Spanked 'em 4-1 (Bowles 2, Webb 2).

First league game of the 75/76 was of course v Liverpool which we won 2-0 (Francis and Leach). Wonder what happened at the end of that season?

My twins were born at Queen Charlotte's on 20th July '04. The summer after we'd got promoted from League 2 (League 1 as it is now). My missus was about 6 months pregnant when we watched the Sheff Weds game at Loftus Rd. We had a works do (that I organised) on the 21st July. It was a Box at QPR in a pre-season friendly against Ajax! I was at the hospital holding one of my boys, looking out the window towards the floodlights and I looked at my missus and said "babe...", she replied "NO!" So all my work colleagues went, and I didn't!

First league game that season we drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham (Ainsworth).

Sat 6 Feb 1971
Div 2 Home v Sunderland 2-0
Unspectacular season finished mid table

Had to wait until 1981 for my 1st visit to LR drew 1-1 with Birmingham, Steve Burke with an injury time leveller. Still remember it clearly. Live on South Coast so only visited occasionally.
Grandad lived and breathed Rangers.

Took my son aged 4. Daughter not so keen, she went aged 9

Colchester Utd 0,QPR 1. 17th September 1960.I was 1 day old and already bringing them luck.
My dad didn't like modern football even in the 60's and said there was too much money in the game.
It was left to my mum's friend to take me to my first game in 70-71.He sat upstairs in South Africa Road, while I went in the paddock.I wish I could remember who it was against.

An unremarkable 1-1 away at Sheffield United on 17 August 1974.

Still, nice to know that my Dad and his Dad / brothers / mates were settling in to watch to witness the greatest Rangers team of all time while I spent the next two years screaming, sh*tting and eating.

Lost 2-1 away to Coventry 03/05/86 .... day before I was born lost 2-5 home to Spurs 26/04/86. The week before I was born we lost the League Cup final to Oxford United 3-0 at Wembley 20/04/86. Now I'm not sure which of those results are worse to be honest but I do now think I am a curse on QPR because a month before I was born we were thrashing Chelsea 6-0 at Loftus Road 31/05/86, so apart from my imminent birth wtf went wrong?

This is a good thread simply for the reason that you can ascertain the age of some posters and realise why they don't get what you are on about!

Three days before my unleashing, we finished off the 63-64 season with a three nil victory against Real Madrid, sorry Walsall, on 1-4-64.

Hopefully, we will be popping open the Krug, on my 50th at Barnsley next year.
You're all invited.
Most of you.
