Well done to Wales for making the finals but they were very poor in every game having got there.

Wales underperformed in the finals which was disappointing.

Lets be fair Wales limped into the World Cup and take the big name out in Bale and you are left with a bang average championship side, time to stop looking through rose tinted bucket hats

All fart no sh1t with James

James had a manager in Potter in his glory days at Swansea. I hope he comes back on loan. He is up against the best now not against ageing defenders v Stoke or Middlesborough. Page picked a defective midfield
.

Wise sage since Toshack era

As I have been saying for a number of years - the young players coming through for Wales are very poor compared to those they're replacing.

James, Williams, Wilson and others might have big reputations due to their brief tenure at elite English clubs like Manchester United, however they very quickly found out they were out of their depth and begun their rightful journey back down England's football pyramid.

James caught a lucky break through Leeds' bizarre obsession however he'll undoubtedly be in League 1 or lower in a few short years time.

Whilst it's not as poor as those early years under Toshak - it's an awfully poor crop of players.

Especially so when you consider we're not limited to those born in Wales and are happy to play those with very little affiliation to Wales.

I'm thankful England and China deemed Moore surplus to requirements and we were able to call him up. He's our star player these days.

Another games where Page's fear meant Wales never stood a chance.
Playing a very good team would have been hard enough but to do so with three passengers and no pride was doomed to fail.
The USA got into England and gain a point.
Wales should have been more positive and should have been able to beat Iran and USA.

We might have limped into the World Cup but it was a somewhat historical limp.

We were the worst team in the tournament
I’d rather we stayed home

I think we were tbh.
I thought Qatar could be, but I’m not too sure now.

Trampie, thank you!

...For not wearing a massive set of Wales/Cymru goggles and stating the obvious facts.

But still, thanks.

For those that missed it theNations League game against Poland was a massive marker of how we'd perform in this World Cup.

Lions led by a donkey...with a couple of geriatrics.

Additionally, where I am the foreign language commentators quite liked JA7. They talked about him a fair bit during the game and showed his shots after the game

I’m chuffed that we qualified for the finals and even more pleased that I was able to be there for a couple of games. I’m even more pleased the FAW will pick up £7.5m for the group stage participation which will benefit Welsh football.

That said, I’m really disappointed with the way things turned out. We were poor in the first game against the US, but better finishing could have seen us get a bit more than a point, we were awful against Iran and poor again last night and got what we deserved. Our recent run of form is far from acceptable, I appreciate we’ve been playing a lot of stronger teams in the Nations League etc but we’re looking at 7 losses in the last 11 games. I far from convinced by Page and I see some tough times ahead. We need a rebuild

All about taking part innit.
I’d rather we had not gone ,seriously.
Today ,the media is full of patronising little old Wales shite.
Uruguay is almost as small as are some other nations
Very concerned about Joe Allen now although he is still a class @bove that what we have

We were the worse team in the tournament and an embarrassment. All the hype and English hatred, bit us on the arse and put us firmly in our place.Let's hope we get an end to the silly song too.

Our last 20 matches aren't pretty reading ...

P 20. W 5. D 6. L 9.

And only 3 clean sheets.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Said it before and I will say it again i.e. purille songs of defiance that carry on a Welsh 'siege mentality' tradition that started when a load of English soldiers crossed the border with bows and arrows gets Wales nowhere.

But hey folks it was (100% serious here!) in backward Welsh-yokel minds! Only SEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE YEARS AGO!

I'm fed up of the victim mentality. Another that bugs me is, " Americans don't know where Wales is, so this will put us on the map." Of course they know where Wales is - maybe not the rednecks, but most do.

That silly song, is all about the victim mentality too

For some inexplicable reason Welsh-yokels want victimhood to continue so that they can relentlessly carry on the age-old tradition of being anti-English. One of the most finest of examples was when Westminster offered a billion pounds (That's a lot!) to Wales and there was genuine anger from Welsh people that did not want it! Honestly it beggars belief !

What an unambitious and regressive thinking bunch some are, and to be utterly oblivious to the fact that Wales is downtrodden by its very own. Who needs England to do that hey?

I refer you to WELSH people being forced to fundraise for WELSH radiotherapy equipment because a WELSH GOVERNMENT refused to provide money that was readily available to WELSH politicians. And in a time when Johnson was not a prime minister.

They fundraise across England mind for radiotherapy equipment/cancer units etc.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Yep! Wales might be bottom of the table in a football tournament, and have a bottom of the table economy and bottom of the table (Cardiff aside!) infrastructure, but when it comes to a superfluous catchy little tune that progresses Wales not one jot? That's all that matters!

Pitiful stuff! But that sums it all up!

Welsh people fundraised in Wales for that particular equipment because Welsh patients were having to travel to England for treatment, and because without England many Welsh inhabitants would be up sh1t creek without a paddle!
