Pressure mounting on Russ.
at 15:12 4 Sep 2024

He got an awful lot of patience at Swansea from the owners who wanted to give him even more time with a new deal.

He was not happy with them and jumped into a place where there is no patience at all.

Things go wrong when you relax.

Mike Lynch established and sold one of UK s top tech companies to Hewlett Packard a few years back. A whopping $11 billion cost.

Afterwards HP complained they did not get what they expected. People in the business tell me that the movers and shakers in big companies do not always know their onions. The business was data collection and processing.

They took Lynch and his no 2 to court and last month lost their case in the USA. Lynch it seems drowned and his number 2 died in a road accident over the last week or so.

The sailing community do not understand how the ship sank.

Bianchini looks like a permanent.
at 13:19 22 Aug 2024

Trawling the internet suggests this signing is a permanent one. Other sites suggest a loan perhaps with obligation to buy. Swansea do not do these obligation deals much. They can I assumed lead to players being frozen out of it is dependent on appearances.

I assumed Abbey is homesick and looking for a permanent move back to UK.. All speculation.

I am very happy with the recruitment. Back to the ways of 2009.Up and coming players of talent

Why do Swansea want Rushworth?
at 13:13 16 Aug 2024

In my opinion Swansea have more important priorities than having to pay big money developing Premier league footballers for Brighton and the England National team.

Swansea did not get any benefit from Guehi and Gallagher because they failed and revenue from Wembley was small as it was during COVID.

The money should be invested in a development talent who Swansea can buy and develop. It would be a kick in the teeth for Vigareaux.

Deinstitualization over the last 50+ years
at 22:35 12 Aug 2024

Stabbings occurred again today. Some narratives have linked these horrible crimes to immigration after the event in Glasgow a year or two ago and to the Private Rigby murder by two Africans.

Other more common events have occurred by mentally unstable people of all races and origins, This is linked to the closing of Mental asylums and the move to "Deinstitualization".

I am not an expert but I suspect these crimes are more related to the closing of the asylums rather than immigration. The asylums were finally closed in the era of Mrs Thatcher. I actually remember it.

"Deinstitutionalization is the process of replacing long-stay psychiatric hospitals with community-based mental health services for people with mental disorders or developmental disabilities. The goal is to reduce the number of beds in mental hospitals and provide more integrated care within the general healthcare system. Deinstitutionalization can also involve reforming mental hospitals to reduce dependency, hopelessness, and other maladaptive behavior".

"The most important factors that led to deinstitutionalization were changing public attitudes to mental health and mental hospitals, the introduction of psychiatric drugs and individual states' desires to reduce costs from mental hospitals". (USA)

Spare cash -Another Museum is what we want?
at 16:07 8 Aug 2024

Coal mine = create wealth jobs and money.

Museum = gobbles up cash and closes within 5 years due to a lack of ongoing funding.

I love John Charles s history but no interest in seeing his shirt.

Welsh prospects are miles behind Denmark Croatia and Iceland . Swansea underage games were postponed from a mild freeze.
Funding something as useless as this is not my cup of tea.

El Ghazi linked to Cardiff with Pro Palestine views.
at 14:15 30 Jul 2024

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-talks-si

In my opinion he was harshly treated by Maintz.

He could do well at Cardiff with the owner manager and chairman presumably of the same faith.

The Israelis have criminalised a common sense solution to their problems.

It is not difficult to create a Palestine " from the river to the sea" without splitting Israel into two.

Any Palestine would need a port which is Gaza. This would be linked to the West Bank within a narrow corridor with service areas or small linear villages ( subject to negiocation) . The Israeli roads crossing would be in short secure tunnels.

The alternative preferred by Israelis would be a tunnel from West Bank to Gaza.

Both would fit the "River to the Sea" words which are in no way provocative. It is a simple request and easily achieved.

The only issue is the safety of the illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Palestinian must bite the bullet that UK citizens have done. We have not repatriated many of our "illegals".

El Ghazi should be allowed free speech in Wales if he comes.

What type of centre forward do Swansea need?
at 15:35 28 Jul 2024

Swansea have a big lad up top already and he was not used. Was this for tactical or discipline/ commitment reasons? This has not been explored.

Sidebeh looks short strong and fast and may be able to convert crosses that in house players cannot.

The other alternative is a specialist aerial player like Llorente was. He was good enough to put Liverpool on the backside in a passing team. Mykola could be that player.

A player who can run play with his feet and athletic is Sory Kaba considered by a number of Championship clubs. Mobile athletic and powerful. A player like this I would like to see.

Barry Town v Swansea u21
at 15:37 27 Jul 2024

HT and Swans 1-0 up. Iestyn Jones

Swansea playing some nice football with good tempo. No information on players. Margetson in goal got away with passing to a player not paying attention. Dabrowski is a feisty tough guy amongst the Barry tough nut. Some good midfield players possibly Bates and Woodward.

Who is actually in Austria?
at 20:07 23 Jul 2024

I looked on the internet and got the squad list from the Graham Potter trip. Information is very scarce these days. Were the following players on the trip?

Pedersen
Ntoe an On
Kukharevych
Broome.

Mykola did not feature v Bristol Rovers after scoring v Swindon.

Are the following now first team squad and in Austria?

Josh Thomas
Evan Watts
Dan Watts
Lissah
Wilson
Cotterill
Congreve
Liam Smith

Smith featured in recent u21 games. What is the logic of this. Is he going out on loan?

Information is welcome.

For me no. If French players started signing about Keifer Moore' parents being born in England I would not be bothered at all. Perhaps Cascarino is self conscious? .

Sulking entitled footballers

The England players again disrespect the tournament. They were second best because Spain were the better team.

This is sport. You come first second or last.

Respect the organisers and the medals they give you. Arrogant jerks. Love your medal and go one better next time. It is silver. It is what you deserve. They fly home like criminals in an unmarked plane. Pathetic.

Hot news. Marg is back!
at 19:30 15 Jul 2024

The England hero s arrived back at Stansted this morning and I can confirm the squad included Swansea's GK coach. See video below.

Strangely the Airbus 320 had no British Airways livery or any other commercial airline livery.

"Hello Dave can you send the Airbus to Berlin Brandenburg ready for a 10am flight to Stansted Monday".

"British Airways or one of those Rwanda ones, Chris".

"Make it 'a Rwanda' Dave. Cheers".

"Here are some of the back room staff who get so little recognition. "Some full bodied bloke next to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink" .
