Fourteen wickets on the first day of any test match is utter bollox. What sort of a wicket is that? I don`t think they`d prepare that type of wicket for a County game,so why do it for the biggest test series in the game? Think there`s been a bit of lateral thinking here and only time will tell whether this obvious ploy will work,but as often happens in sport,it could end up biting England in the arse. |

what an great test match this is. Tomorrow morning's session will probably determine the rest of the test, but every session has seen the momentum go the other way so far.
Few question marks over the key decisions. Not seen the stumping yet, but from what I saw Root wasn't out and there wasn't the evidence to overturn the umpire's decision on Trott. Maybe a more established Root would have got to the 3rd umpire.
Bookies have us favourites. Best odds for us is 4-6. Aussies 7-4. I'd make it more even than that, but bookies know much more than I do. |  | | |
