depends on the severity of the offence, We have all had a few to many and been silly. only thing that would constitute that would be an assault surely?

Fans banned club puts out a warning on 22:24 - Aug 25 with 2089 views | KeithHaynes | This was West Brom away last season ? I’m assuming the fans were charged and found guilty in court otherwise an away ban is unenforceable.

It is important to highlight that these items are not only illegal inside a football stadium, but these prohibited items can also cause great harm to people. These pyrotechnics and flares can burn at up to 2,000°C and can cause significant injuries to carriers and fellow spectators. I didn't realise they were that dangerous to be honest just looked this up on Google. The long ban for a flair is fair enough now we have all been warned. I am curious what happened on the seg line. The ban seems excessive.

Fans banned club puts out a warning on 23:00 - Aug 25 with 2024 views | hobo | Happened a few rows in front of me. I presume some fan must have tried to throw the flare on the pitch but didn't have a strong enough arm, so it landed in the Swans disabled area - hitting someone on the side of the head in the process. No-one was injured, but still a stupid thing to do

cringe 😬 thats must of been a bad few minutes if I was escorting a disabled freind/relative my head would of gone. I wasn't aware them things were so leathal untill today. They made out there was trouble on the seg line aswell. I think WBA use the same stewarding firm as the Swansea.com in part safestyle. Ive been on the seg line of a Cardiff v Bristol game and a female stewerd has been punched flat out by a man. The guy got twisted up and thrown out not even sure if he was arrested. If the Seg line isn't stewarded properly it causes trouble its self. Heavy handed stewards with no real power can really cause problems there.

Pretty certain if he knocked a steward out he was in court Monday morning.

I agree , having dealt with pyrotechnics in a previous role , the risk of injury especially in a packed area is high and the outcome can sometimes quite serious

2000c was an eye opener for me, for some reason I didn't link the flair and intense heat of that magnitude.

I’d like to know what happened on the Seg line too. If I’m being honest, people who go to a game and can’t behave deserve everything they get, because invariably they’re spoiling other fans enjoyment. There’s been plenty of complaints on here about drunken fans kicking off etc. If I’m taking my kid to a game, I don’t want to see idiots causing bother. [Post edited 26 Aug 2023 20:10]
