I notice the BBC has given them the 3 points, in their table

Typical of BBC Cardiff.

I was at an FACup tie at Exeter we were winning going into injury time and the ligjts went off.
Replayed the game and we battered them scoring 5.
Good days them.

I was at both games.

It's a strange aftermath here! Some platforms have kept the table with a Cardiff win and not updated it.

I am taking it as it will be a rematch?

Rotherham are now my 2nd favourite team in the Championship.

They put them on at half time the same as all clubs do. The rain did not start until 2 minute of second half.

Some Welsh Assembly politician getting involved in this now. Surely this shouldn’t be allowed?

The was they put the sprinklers on. The video show ONE SPRINKLER on so clearly sprinklers on was incorrect.

BBC have corrected the table and Cardiff are in their rightful place below Rotherham.

Why even have one on though? There was already water around the side of the pitch ffs…..
The video of the pleb groundsman dragging the water back on whilst giving cardiff fans the middle finger. Let’s hope the EFL see all this. Looking at Rotherham’s run in I’d say they are in big trouble they prob saw this game as their only hope and they were getting nowhere. Karma can be a biitch let’s hope they are already down by the time another 1300 fans make the nice short midweek trip to the northern outpost.

Footage has emerged of a mysterious figure appearing on the pitch at half time performing a rain dance. if you zoom in you can clearly see a Rotherham United badge on the moccasins. Cardiff are now urgently appealing to the UN for an emergency resolution.

Its not like Cardiff to appeal everything that doesn't go in their favor.

I’m hearing it could be just before the last game as we already have 7 matches in April…..could and should be dusted by then.

Be fair a few of the coke head cardiff fans were more than likely shouting abuse. Rotherham are a shit club anyway at the start of the season we had their fans spitting over a memorial flag .
If cardiff were losing 1 nil , you would be glad for the replay. As for dragging water back on if you watch the vid closely the guy is getting rid of more water down the drain by making a gap.

This reminds me of a game being called off half time at the Vetch back in the late eighties/early nineties for floodlight failure.

I think we were one nil down at the time. I remember the fanzine of the time had an illustration of Doug Sharpe pulling the plug with a big grin on his face.

Does anyone remember the game. Or the fanzine? I think it was Jackmail. There's a chance I have it in the attic. I'll have a look when it's not Saturday night!

Just the one game?

The Vetch floodlights basically had about a 25% chance of lasting a whole game in those halcyon days.

Strange that was the only time I ever remember the floodlights failing at the vetch. Of course the Welsh manager blamed tye floodlights for only drawing the match when it was his team selection that was to blame. He basically assumed opposition would not compete as they were not very good. He picked 4 centre forwards and no defenders as he thought it would help to increase Wales' goal difference to help them qualify. He forgot the basic idea is to make sure you win the match first.

I was there for that one, if we had won that we would have qualified for the wc and not had to wait another 40 years 🙄

The EFL have ruled the game will be replayed as per competition rules.
It was the only decision the EFL could make to keep the integrity of the championship intact. You can't change the competition rules mid season.

Awarding the points to Cardiff would certainly not be fair to other teams in the relegation battle and if the EFL had awarded points against their own rules they would be open to legal action from all the teams eventually relegated.

Reading are likely to be deducted 6points points tomorrow for financial misdemeanours.
