The Pound 13:57 - Sep 24 with 101533 views | Stanmiguel | Well, the money markets didn't like the mini budget. I met Liz Truss in a hotel in Monmouth a few years ago. She said her solution to pensioner poverty would be to feed them on Pedigree Chum. Not only would this save a lot of money, it would give them shiny coats and a nice cold nose.
The Pound on 17:10 - Oct 14 with 1993 views | traininvain | Two words: pigs ear. Tories have not only kneecapped the economy but also their chances of winning the next election. And all completely unnecessary. Quite extraordinary. The Pound on 18:11 - Oct 14 with 1837 views | R_from_afar | I've said it before on here but when a LFW poster is critical of the government, take a moment to think before you start branding them a leftie, a communist, a Maoist, a - gasp - LibDem etc etc. They could easily be a Tory voter who is tearing their hair out over all this. I dearly hope that all parties have learned a salutary lesson from this shambolic episode. Truss' premiership should be a mandatory case study which anyone wishing to go into politics is made to read and digest. When the party in power gets it as badly wrong as Truss and Kwarteng have, we (nearly) all suffer and the damage may not get repaired within some people's lifetimes.

The Pound on 20:23 - Oct 14 with 1627 views | DWQPR | Must be about the worst double act since Rene and Renata. I’ve heard of turkeys voting for Xmas but these two with that budget not only plucked themselves but then proceeded to stuff paxo up each other’s arsés before switching the oven on. To stand any chance of even hanging onto even half the seats they’ve got at the moment the Tories have to dump Truss as quickly as possible as she is as toxic as they come now. Takes something to become the most unpopular prime minister in living memory in just over a month. [Post edited 14 Oct 2022 21:24]

As for Kwarteng, this would have been top news a few years ago, say pre Cameron. People just shrug their shoulders now as is the state of it. I miss the days when eating a bacon sandwich in a weird way cost you government. Political discourse is in it’s darkest state in living memory in my opinion. I’m starting to become a bit anarchist in my old age. Fck government. I’m starting to admire those people who glue themselves to the road. At least they are doing something outside of ranting on Social Media. [Post edited 15 Oct 2022 8:49]

Dont worry - In due course an apology will come - Until the next time!! Some people need to be treated with the contempt they deserve No matter how much you try to convince people of something, if their mind is fixed on something they won't change. Must be annoying Clive when you can't block people

I’ve amended it. I’m grateful Clive (I’m a Patreon subscriber), you are good at what you do, but I think it’s outrageous that you let this guy back in when you can see with your own eyes how rude and provocative he’s being to everyone knowing full well he’s held multiple accounts. It seems very obvious to me that another user is doing the same thing. Especially galling having the accusation thrown back in my face. If you tell me now that you’ve checked he (I assume) hasn’t got identical IP addresses or is using VPN I’ll never bring it up again. It isn’t a witch hunt, and it’s not because I disagree with them, but it’s making things unpleasant. Maybe I’m doing the same thing by raising it but perhaps you should speak to other Patreon subscribers to see what they think. Your site your rules but just an opinion from a frustrated user. You've been THE most politically provocative poster on this message board for the past 6 or 7 years. I think that's worth bearing in mind. Granted you've never called anyone names or been rude but your slippery political maneuvers are more canny than that. Not sure why it should be Clives problem having to check political threads and posters IP addresses when he's asked everyone on here time and time again to keep political threads away. This isn't why he set up LFW. It's suppose to be about QPR and football. It's you and some others that have created this political arena on here. That's my observation anyway.

mate, clive has already confirmed the ip's, whatever, are different, tbh I find SH and Sakura quite different. If I'm wrong, I couldn't give a flying one anyway. As for the latter, I don't like the way he talks to people at times,so I don't read his posts, it's easy. But I'll never agree with de-platforming people, free speech can be annoying when people hold diverse views, but that's diversity for you. I defend his right to make an ass of himself. You must know Baz, you annoy the crap out of some posters. Me,I like you and Sheffield

In terms of social media and message board accounts you strike me as being a genuine bloke but the way I see it is you've played a massive part in creating the political game that goes on via this website ( that Clive asked not to do unofficially)and what you are doing is moaning that a couple of players are cheating. The Pound on 14:26 - Oct 14 by stanistheman | Sacking Kartang for implementing Truss’s election policies is like a football manager sacking his coach or assistant when results and performances hit the floor. She is the one who needs to go. There was a good reason that the Tory MPs voted for Sunak in large numbers. However, the Tory party members and wealthy backers couldn’t bring themselves to vote for an a Prime Minister from an Indian heritage. After all, it is less than 80 years ago when India was under British rule. |
I know four active Conservative Party members personally (two white couples in their 70s). I can confirm that none of them would ever vote for a non-white person as their leader, regardless of his/her abilities.
