Hello Clive.
Due to send my oldest to Hampton Hill Juniors next year. What was it like all those years ago? Any staff still there?
Well I've just had a look on the website and the uniform is still the same as is the headteacher - who used to be big and scary when I was 10 but may now appear more normal sized.
Having now found him on Facebook, I can report that he's actually recently retired to a consultancy role. And is not any more normal sized than I remember when I was little.

People who do wheelies on motorbikes with people on the back are usually a certain sort, typically with a double digit IQ and usually about 13-16 in age. Always watch out for young Thai boys and girls driving bikes. No age limits here, you'll see a 12 year old flying down the road. Regularly crash and die. I've seen hundreds of bike accidents here, hundreds. Numerous fatalities. Often see more than one crash in a day.
Also a nice touch in Thailand, if a drunken underage Thai boy speeding the wrong way down the road hits a foreigner, it'll usually be considered the foreigners fault. They shouldn't be in Thailand, so they'll be blamed and have to pay for the boy and his family. If you're waiting at a red traffic light and you're hit from behind, it's your fault if you aren't Thai (i've been hit from behind whilst waiting at a red light twice, luckily not very hard though). A few of my mates/acquaintances have been killed or nearly killed.
They have a very simple and honest sytem over here. Thais come first, it's Thailand, foreigners do what they're told or they can fcuk off back home. Perhaps we could learn a lot from it.
