strikes me on top of the idiotically cack over priced players w have signed recently there has been a number of very good players we passed up for a lot less money who are now in demand
Our recruitment strategy has been very poor as we know but this highlights it further by not spending a. Bit more to bring in players who have shown they were good we have happily blown a fortune ones who have proved that weren’t that good

Interesting photos in the observer sport section today
One shows Stephen’s looking on as two United defenders (one being de Ligt) line up to head their first goal. The other photo shows him watching Rashford shoot their second. Not a challenge in sight |

Ramsdale - class act, kept it respectable and noticeably lost it at his defenders for Both goals
Sugawara - looks very good slightly out of position at times due to how RM sets up the full backs to play but looks one of our better recent signings
KWP - class act, runs his heart out always looking to create something as well as cover his tracks
Stephen’s - should never start for us again especially in this league, criminal performance as captain
Janny B - too slow and not helped by Stephens at all, solid but he holds on to the ball way too long
Fernandes - solid debut, perfect partner for Downes likes how he got box to box
Downes- MOM for me
Uguchukwu - needs time but certainly an upgrade
Archer - didn’t add a lot and atrocious pen
Diaz - gives us something but he needs to play as a striker
Dibling - another class act gives us what we have been missing for years, if you are good enough you are old enough |

I read somewhere Archer has never taken a competitive penalty in over 100 games get he took the ball from Diaz who has scored 7 from 7???
