Marginally better than recent games, the good performances came from Clarke-Salter, Saito (looks like a good left back!) Varane, Smyth, & Morgan. The rest were terrible.

What dembele was doing with that attempted clearance for their goal was criminal.
But the most worrying thing for me is the tactics - we were finally slightly more direct thank god, but what are we trying to do? There is no shape, movement or width, it’s so bad. The players are mostly trying hard, but you can see the lack of direction.

And Celar, yeah that’s not gonna work - was like playing with 10 men.

Well that was boring. I’m a big Marti fan, think he’s been great for us but I don’t understand the current tactics. Either play 2 up front with wingers or play a midfielder who can pass it forwards.

Cook to Clarke-Salter must have been the most common pass we made. Also, time to stop playing Dunne at fullback, it worked last season, it’s not working this one.

It’s not all negative, Frey was good and scored a great goal, Nardi and Paal played well too.

Just so so boring!

Watched the game in the LCFC directors box, sat behind Nourry, he was a very happy chap at full time and spent much of the 2nd half kicking every ball. At full time I said ‘we have to keep this gaffer!’ to which he replied - ‘100% - we love him’.

It was a perfect away performance, you could see from kick off that it was about frustrating LCFC, making sure they didn’t get an early goal and bringing on pace in the 2nd half. Every single player worked their bollocks off, but most impressive were the centre backs and centre mids, the amount of interceptions, blocks and forcing the oppo wide was seriously impressive.

Convinced we are staying up!
