We have to believe this is a full blown crisis now. I thought we were ok in the first half, getting the ball forward more quickly and although he missed that excellent chance Chair was creating openings. But we still looked lightweight in midfield, with too many feeble challenges.

Fox obviously to blame for both goals, but I wonder if Marti got this wrong, putting a player into a new defensive formation on his first game back from injury. All the evidence is that Marti likes a back 4 but I assume he hoped this would add bodies into midfield. It didn't work.

In the second half we were very poor and Pompey were sharper, quicker and deserved the win. On a few occasions recently Marti has gone for radical substitutions making 3 at once and I think it's always weakened the team. It's bold and I can see why he does it, but effectively all 11 players have to start playing differently with unfamiliar faces alongside, behind or in front of them.

And why did he bring on Morgan? I'm sure he's a very promising lad and he had some good touches, but even an out of form Anderson would be likely to use his experience to better effect. Is it a message to Nourry: the players you've bought in aren't good enough?

Need to drown my sorrows now.

Take a winning team, take it to bits in an effort to recreate Barcelona c.1992 using poundshop recruits from weaker and less intense foreign leagues and this is what you get. I wouldn't argue with Marti's selection today. Fox has rarely let us down but he and Chair are short of match practice. Frey never let up and Morgan looks promising. Steve is Steve. Beyond that, this strategy encourages the team to sting like butterflies and float like bees. I don't want Marti's calm. I want aggression and purpose. The Danish lads in particular look like they have just enjoyed a nice time in Christiania. What would I change? Maybe a more seasoned CEO who would be a start. Meanwhile some Novichok might go down well. .

I apologise for the mark I've awarded to Morgan Fox, but zero was not available!

It is beyond my comprehension how he stayed on the pitch for the whole match.

I'm amazed how lightweight and clueless our new players are.

The game passes Madsen by, yet he manages to stay on the pitch for the whole 90.

Dembele is a skillful player but drifts in and out of the game. But I believe this is because for some reason the football is kept by Cook and Nardy and then launched towards Frey, entirely missing out our midfield.

We need to play through teams not over them.

Dembele and Chair need to form a partnership.

Fox lost confidence from the moment he ran in the biggest half circle I've seen since watching a baseball game to contribute to Portsmouths first goal.

Overall, extremely disappointed.
