We shouldn't under-estimate how good a performances this was. There were vulnerable moments in defence and our finishing is poor, especially Chair and Smyth, but Blackburn are a decent, well-organised team. We controlled most of the first half, passing the ball well and creating. In the second half they were on top for long spells, but we defended strongly.
The defence was strong throughout even though Cook is not fully back to his best and Edwards was played on the left, not his natural position. Nardi made a couple of sharp saves, which we almost take for granted now.
Chair had his best game for a long time in the first half, playing centrally. If only he could have scored one of his good chances. In the second he found space hard to come by, but was still an important outlet.
Two interesting observations. Madsen didn't even make the bench. Was he injured? This also is a sign that our bench now offers much more. Secondly, is Lloyd now ahead of Kolli in the CF pecking order or was this a horses for courses pick?
Think Sam Field is my MotM, getting in his usual quota of challenges, interceptions and tackles.
PS the ref was good, but probably an easy game to referee

Really good game. Rangers worked hard and played some great football at times. Same could be said about Blackburn. No wonder 10 teams are separated by 5 points! 1 second of madness - handball, penalty, goal! Summed up the game for me.
