"QPR are considering loaning Joey Barton to a Football League club to speed up the serving of his 12-match ban.
Barton was suspended after being sent off against Manchester City in May and then clashing with Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany on his way off.
FA rules allow the Loftus Road club to apply for Barton to serve the ban with another club.
QPR are considering all options with regards to the midfielder going out on loan.
Barton has been training with League Two Fleetwood Town as QPR are on a pre-season tour of Malaysia.
The FA would consider any application to transfer the ban, but do have the power to reject it if they feel it as an abuse of the disciplinary process.
Barton could serve his suspension more quickly in the Football League because its clubs play more games over the season than their Premier League counterparts.
QPR are not scheduled to play their 12th Premier League game of the season until 17 November, although they could feature in three Capital One Cup ties in that time, which would also count towards the ban.
Championship clubs are due to play their 12th league game on the midweek of 23 and 24 October, while teams in League One and League Two are set to reach that stage of the season on 13 October, subject to postponements for international call-ups.
Clubs in the Football League could also play up to four Capital One Cup ties in that time, which again would count towards the suspension.
Barton received his ban, together with a £75,000 fine, as a result of his behaviour during QPR's 3-2 defeat at the Etihad Stadium on 13 May.
The midfielder was initially shown a red card for an off-the-ball clash with City striker Carlos Tevez.
He received a four-match ban for that offence, as it was his second sending off of the season.
The incidents involving Aguero and Kompany came after Barton had been dismissed, meaning they fell outside the jurisdiction of the referee, and resulted in a further eight-match suspension.

we can argue about his ability all day but that's not why he is being bombed out, it's his temperament, after this latest ban he will have missed 16games through suspensionfor QPR since signing with us and considering he's been pretty well behaved in most games thats pretty frightening |

If we can have Joey in the squad from the start of December match fit and humbled by his time away from the club and returning to find genuine competition which will in all likelihood see him as a bench warmer then I would welcome him back.
Edit: I'm not saying that's what will happen nor that I believe Barton knows what humble means, just that if the unlikely conditions as stated above occur then he would in my opinion be worth keeping. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Something is a miss as he should be playing in the reserve games unless he is actually going on loan. No-one will take him so the loan option is ideal and he could be available by mid October and if he sticks to what he is good at then he's still a good option in central midfield.
The problem is he talks a very good game and on his new website he speaks well of the club and the future of QPR (albeit he uses the "project" word!) and therefore you can get drawn into believing it and hoping he will change. In reality though if we can get shot of him then I wouldn't be against it. (hopefully West Ham will be desperate come January and take him). |  | | |

"Clubs do not have to name a full squad of 25 if they do not have that many contracted players and in this case they can add free agents outside the transfer window. However if they have 25 eligible contracted players, they must be named."

Tourist Visas aren't a problem generally speaking. If you have a criminal record in most instances you will be allowed in, but probably for less than the 90 day maximum stay, However if you have a high profile record or a well known criminal, in which case, you are considered an undesirable person, and will not be allowed in....
Whether that is the case with Barton or not who knows, however unless someone is willing to take on his contract there is no point just ripping up his contract and chucking £11mil down the drain.
He'll be back in the squad come January, and maybe end of October if Hughes leaves a spot open.

I wonder if any other of us JB watchers have come to the conclusion that Joey is not a great member of a squad in terms of helping Team morale.
I just noted, perhaps unfairly but perhaps not, the consistent mentioning of how happy the squad/changing room, whatever you like to call is, currently.
I think in the full analysis of JB's contribution to a Football Club, he probably does more harm than good.
Nevertheless you cannot second guess what the season may bring so unless some other club comes in for him, its wise to get him fit, keep him away from the new QPR first team and see if he's needed come January or whenever.... | | | |

He'd certainly be behind Faurlin, Diakite and Park. And by the time Barton has finished his ban (whichever way that is engineered), Ale should be back.
I believe QPR as a club, and Hughes in particular, see him as more trouble than he's worth. They couldn't afford to get rid without paying up his contract, which, even if it was legal, they were not prepared to do. I think they will be looking to make life uncomfortable for him and would be prepared to listen to any deal that would get him off our hands without leaving a huge ongoing liability.
Even if he came back as a reformed character (again!), it would only be a matter of time before something fresh happened. In that respect the club managed to negotiate a deal, after the internal enquiry, that would mean he could be sacked without compensation.

Again I'm probably in the minority too, but I'd like to keep him around.
The squad and setup we've got now is very different to the Warnock / Champ winners team he walked into a highly-paid Premiership self-proclaimed Billy Big Bollox. He's just another player in our team now, and not even one guaranteed a place. He might actually thrive in that scenario.
Last season when he thought he had to be a mixture of Roy Keane and Messi he overstretched his ability and was rightly booed off at Liverpool.
After that he was great, a lot more humble with the fans, keeping off Twitter, putting in 100% and playing it simple, and played a big part in our miraculous run-in. If he hadn't imploded at City we'd all be saying what an integral part of our escape he was, but it was such a high profile mare nobody has been allowed to forget it.
(Admittedly at the time I was ready to string him up)

I just think that the club need to be seen to be punishing him . He did kick off in the flagship Premiership decider with sponsors watching after all .
Is he training on his own or is that more spin? ,part of the "punishment" was to miss the tour . The first team havnt played anywhere else . What was the point of him turning out at Woking .
I happen to think Cantona , Lee Hughes , Luke Mcormick have all committed greater crimes to football , all welcomed back ,, Cantona is a Utd Icon .
As mentioned above, his form before City had been top class .
