Kids for a quid was a great incentive from the new CEO.

Is it because …

The Football League!
The Football League!
Is upside down!
Is upside down!
The Football League is upside down
We’re top with Rotherham and Wednesday
And Dirty Leeds are going down!

I dont think it will quite be a sell out, as I doubt Rotherham will hardly bring over 500

That would mean we would have nearly 1300 empty seats in the upper tier when we could have sold it out.

I do honestly wonder if there is a case building to look at remodelling the School end into a single tiered stand within the current footprint, so it would make away allocations more flexible in future, so there arnt as many empty seats.

So you could give away fans a quarter of the stand, half the stand, three quarters of the stand or the whole of it.

Even if that were feasible, which it probably isn’t, the ROI wouldn’t stack up I’m sure. It’s not often at full price we need more seats and you’d need segregation cutting out a few hundred. Also where do you house the away fans if it can’t all be done in a summer?

Maybe its more doable that we think?

To not be able to sell 1300 or so seats purely cause of the layout of the stadium is crazy, thats lost revenue right there.

its something that does need addressing, especially as demand for tickets this year has been very high.

Sold Out isn’t necessarily to capacity. It could be to availability and any given home team may not make every seat available.

Thats true.

But to basically have a 1300 seat kill is crazy when demand is high for a ticket.

If the school end was demolished and a single tier built, how long would it take to break even?
Plus, how high could it go and what capacity would it yield bearing in mind single tiered stands have less capacity than a double tiered of the same height. If we can’t go higher than it currently is then a single tiered stand is a non starter.
Yes, it’s frustrating not being able to potentially sell 1300 tickets but the cost to remedy this may not be viable.

Yeah, missing out on about £40k from maybe 5 matches a year is not going to be a great payback.

I'm sure we've gone over this before. If you demolished the School End and rebuilt it as a single-tiered stand - on the same footprint as we currently have - the capacity would be reduced.

They did Kids For A Quid this time last year for the Blackburn game so nothing to do with new CEO.

Yeah and cost of change ,probably at least £600k plus.

So would not pay for 10 to 15 years.

Can't see that idea ever being considered.

Some day, we really will be forced to move but could be 15 to 20 years time perhaps - and could not see us being in the area we are currently.

If we stabilised miraculously in Premier league, I think the leg room issue would be deemed a health and safety issue.

For all of those that attended Ashton Gate, crikey could have had a rather large Great Dane Dog in the space given to the row in front.

Given how far behind they are surely draws are useless to them.

Depends maybe who we pick. If Armstrong plays I expect so.

We’ve conceded fewer goals than everyone up to tenth which is remarkable considering some of the humpings under Ainsworth.

In fairness, we could have offered them the lower tier only, and home fans in the top?

Probably down to us having to offer at least 10% of the capacity, so I don't think lower loft covers that.

That's amazing, with the 2nd, 4th and 5th best supported teams away...Hamburg, Kaiserslautern and Dusseldorf.

That probably might be the reason.

I think the lower tier holds 1418, and the upper has a max capacity of 1880 according to the safety certificate which ive linked here.

Its just a shame cause of the way the stand is designed, we cant use those 1300 extra seats.

Couldn't you just add an extendable perspex or similar roof/ sheeting over the lower tier (to stop coin throwing and the like from the upper loft and then you could fill the upper and lower tiers with opposing fans? That would surely be very cheap, but maybe I'm missing something.

Looks like there's only around 150 available now!

We must be mad.
