Makes you wonder how many have already done so.
Difficult to police in every sense of the word.
Taurus might well have their hands full.

There should certainly have been more restrictions before tickets went on sale, it should have been all ticket for a start. Crazy that Oldham didn’t give ST holders priority as well.

That said, they’re now committed to cancelling as many tickets as possible for those Oldham fans who’ve bought them in our end.

I'm dreading this game now. I've already made the decision, as have quite a few of us with youngsters, to move from the Sandy Lane to the Family Stand which is extra cost but given the scenes for the Bradford game last season, I can't have a repeat of that. I actually think this will be a lot worse. That game saw us pelted by pyro and young children being pushed aside so our morons could go and face up to theirs and in the end we were moved over tot the Family Stand by a steward.

I shouldn't have to move stands for safety reasons but I feel I have to because steps, by both clubs, haven't been taken.

What precautions were taken to stop Oldham fans buying tickets in the home end? Do we have an up-to-date database where we can say, if you're not on it, we can't sell home tickets to you? Or has the decision to stop "on the day" sales been taken? Surely it has to be now? Could we have given them the end block of the Pearl Street? This isn't like Sunderland where it was purely for profit, this is to try and stop idiots coming in the home ends who probably live 6 miles away. The Police could have helped here and suggest we move the kick-off time to dinner.

It's going to be absolute carnage.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

Do you pay an upgrade fee Chaff or do you have to buy whole new tickets?

There’s certainly a very good argument for those involved in the planning for the fixture to provide information around what decisions were made and why.

That it took Oldham selling out and their fans to start openly stating they would be going in the home end for any movement in terms of an actual statement (which came yesterday)indicates a “horse half away across the field but we’ll have a lovely stable door to close” approach. Hopefully, what is now in place will minimise any actual issues on the day.

Oldham sold their allocation on Thursday 28th September.

It's the difference between the cost of the match day price so it's not a large amount at all to pay. I just shouldn't have to do it.

There are two issues here: safety and lost opportunity.

They sold out their allocation on the same day tickets went on sale. Were either club expecting that? If so, have they sold numbered and allocated seating, or will it be a free for all. If the former then they could control who sat where with their teenage thugs put near the middle. I see that we have undersold the stand by 500 tickets again - if they sold allocated seats there is no reason why they couldn't sell them all. Then we have the spare Pearl Street block - couldn't they have been given that on the understanding that it could only be sold to families? Many clubs at a much higher level than ours cope with separated stands using only the staircase to act as the barrier. Had they put Owdum families in the end of Pearl Street then they would hardly throw things at their own.

I hope it goes okay on the day. Given our cash position it is disappointing we haven't taken the opportunity to sell them more. We have a 10,000 seat stadium and we'll be lucky to get 6.500.

And wouldn't it be good if the club organised a whole range of street food carts around the place to help boost revenue on the day. The Wilbutts chippy won't be able to cope.

It’s not inside the ground that worries me it’s after….

I remember them sprinting across the corner of the pitch to join the away fans…

Not as bad as a Buckets match… are they goin to march into Norden Village?… nothing else in any direction form the ground except the town centre & the Metrolink

Reading various media platforms its pretty clear this Oldham bunch are the biggest dick swinging crowd gloating deluded lot I think we've ever had the "pleasure" to be coming to Spotland....

It's as if they've all fell asleep for the last few decades and suddenly woken up believing they're still in the Premier league.

Fans had to be separated when 24 Boreham Wood fans sat in the end block, there’s no way it could work with Oldham fans (families or not).

We certainly should have expected it!

* First game between the two clubs in non-league
* First game between the two clubs since daft Frank took over at Oldham
* First time in a long time they've been big favourites over us
* First time since I can remember they've been a promotion favourite

It was never not going to sell out for away fans.

It would be interesting to know how, or if, Oldham prioritised their ticket sales if they sold out within four hours of them going on sale.
Surely they haven’t got 3000 season ticket holders?
If they just sold them on a first come, first served basis then surely that’s slightly irresponsible?

I'd guess they do have well over 3000 ST holders, reading most of the comments at the time it certainly didn't sound like it was prioritised to them when the tickets went on sale though.

Yep it seems a major fook up from both sides really, it all could and more to the point should have been prevented, there's not a prayer I'd be taking any child to this fixture.
